When the new Minister of Education took office, nobody knew the merit that led to her appointment. She declared something that left many astonished.
In her first official speech she stated:
"Simplicity is the new complexity".
At first, journalists and others present thought it was a nervous mistake and that she actually meant to say something else.
When the school year began, it became clear that it was not a mistake. From that year on, textbooks were replaced, with primary school books being used in secondary school, because according to the minister, it is better for students to learn less complicated things correctly rather than study complex subjects and not learn them well.
What was even more surprising is that she had massive support from parents who felt relieved not to have to tell their children again that they couldn’t help them with homework because they didn’t understand the subjects.
