La historia de Shina: Secuestro y Fuga [ES/EN]

Shina es la mascota de mi papá, y aunque en nuestra casa todos los perros son nuestros, se puede decir que en este caso fue Shina la que eligió a su dueño.

Sucedió que una vecina nuestra le regaló a mi mamá una cachorra, ya que su perra había tenido una camada, y las hembras suelen ser difíciles de colocar, porque obviamente requieren más cuidados que un macho.

Todo iba muy bien con la llegada de Shina, era la mimada de mi papá, y por supuesto todos estabamos encantados con ella. Hasta que un día que no estábamos sucedió lo peor.

Alguien entró a nuestro patio y secuestró a Shina. Encontramos tirado el collarcito que le había hecho mi papá.

Nuestra primera hipótesis fue que el autor era la pareja de la vecina que nos había regalado a Shina, porque casualmente el supuesto secuestrador no estaba cuando lo del regalo, y cuando apareció por el barrio sucedió el secuestro.

Todos estábamos seguros de quien era el sospeçchoso, pero como la justicia en este país es letra muerta, poco podíamos hacer.

Pasaron unos días, y mi papá estaba volviendo a la casa, cuando de repente Shina lo ve y se escapa de la casa donde la tenían retenida. En un descuido la dejaron sin atar y ella sintió la presencia de su "humano favorito" y salió disparada a su encuentro.

Lo más emocionante fue que la mamá de Shina a toda costa trataba de impedir que la cachorra se acercara a mi papá, con las patas trataba de atajarla, pero ya era tarde, Shina se sentía parte de nuestra familia y no dudó en escaparse y correr a los brazos de mi padre.

Todo esto sucedió ante la mirada de la vecina que nos la había regalado y que supuestamente no sabía nada del paradero de Shina cuando mi mamá le preguntó si ellos entraron a nuestra casa a revarsela, lo cual había negado. No le quedó otra opción mas que mirar.

Y así fue como Shina, a su corta edad tuvo que escapar de sus captores para vivir con quienes había adoptado como familia.

Shina is my dad's pet, and although in our house all the dogs are considered ours, in this case, it could be said that Shina was the one who chose her owner.

It all started when a neighbor gave my mom a puppy, as her dog had had a litter, and female puppies are often harder to place since they require more care than males.

Everything was going well with Shina’s arrival—she was my dad’s little darling, and of course, we were all enchanted by her. Until one day, when we weren’t home, the worst happened.

Someone broke into our yard and kidnapped Shina. We found her little collar, the one my dad had made for her, discarded on the ground.

Our first hypothesis was that the culprit was the partner of the neighbor who had given Shina to us. Coincidentally, the supposed kidnapper wasn’t around when the puppy was gifted, and when he finally showed up in the neighborhood, the kidnapping happened.

We were all sure of who the suspect was, but since justice in this country is merely words on paper, there was little we could do.

Days passed, and my dad was on his way home when, suddenly, Shina saw him and managed to escape from the house where she was being kept. In a moment of carelessness, they had left her untied, and the moment she sensed the presence of her "favorite human," she bolted toward him.

The most emotional part was that Shina's mother desperately tried to stop her from reaching my dad. She blocked her with her paws, but it was too late—Shina already felt like part of our family and didn’t hesitate to break free and run into my father’s arms.

All of this happened right in front of the neighbor who had given her to us, the same one who had claimed she knew nothing about Shina’s whereabouts when my mom asked if they had taken her from our house—something she had flatly denied. She had no choice but to stand there and watch.

And that’s how Shina, at such a young age, had to escape from her captors to live with the people she had chosen as her family.
