La llegada de Samsa

Hay encuentros que están predestinados y la llegada de Samsa Stark a mi vida fue uno de ellos.

Era un caluroso 20 de enero de 2023, y yo me dirigía al lugar donde actualmente tengo mi negocio, pero en esa época no solía ir muy a menudo.

Pero ese día, por suerte fui, porque apenas pasé al costado de la plazita que está antes de llegar, veo a un pequeño perrito que corre en mi dirección como si me hubiera estado esperando.

Su cara de alegría al verme me enamoró a primera vista, y cuando llegó a mis pies, no dudé en levantarla en brazos para llevarmela, cuando me doy cuenta que una vecina me está mirando. Entonces, para salir de dudas le pregunto si era su perrito, a lo que me responde que no. ¡Para mi fue un alivio! Le vuelvo a preguntar si sabía de quién era, y me dijo que no. A partir de ese momento, Samsa era mía, y no habría forma de que alguien me la quisiera reclamar, si ella misma me eligió!

Cuando llegamos a destino, le invité algo de comida, lo que tenía, y lo devoró con ganas, era evidente que llevaba varias horas de comer, lo cual para un cachorro de pocos meses es como no comer por días.

Luego, se acostó a mis pies y se quedó dormida. Pasó un rato y me di cuenta de que despareció. La busqué angustiada por todo el patio, y por último, me fijo dentro de la habitación y allí estaba, acostada debajo de la cama. Había buscado el lugar más fresco.

Y así fué, como un día de verano, Samsa me encontró y me eligió, y hasta hoy día me acompaña y me cuida, porque ahora que es grande se toma muy en serio su rol de perra guardiana, aunque no pierde su lado juguetón y siempre está feliz de estar en casa, es una de mis cuatro alegrías, porque hay 3 perritos más en casa de mis padres!

Some encounters are predestined, and Samsa Stark's arrival in my life was one of them.

It was a scorching January 20, 2023, and I was heading to the place where I now have my business, though at that time, I didn't go there very often.

But that day, fortunately, I did. As I passed by the small plaza before reaching my destination, I saw a tiny puppy running toward me as if she had been waiting for me.

Her joyful expression upon seeing me captivated me at first sight, and when she reached my feet, I didn't hesitate to pick her up in my arms to take her with me. Then, I noticed a neighbor watching me. To clear any doubts, I asked her if the puppy was hers, to which she replied no. That was a relief! I asked again if she knew who the puppy belonged to, and she said she didn't. From that moment on, Samsa was mine, and there was no way anyone could claim her from me—after all, she had chosen me!

When we reached our destination, I offered her some food, whatever I had at the time, and she devoured it eagerly. It was clear she hadn't eaten in hours, which, for a young puppy, felt like days.

Later, she lay down at my feet and fell asleep. A while passed, and suddenly, I realized she had disappeared. I searched anxiously all over the yard, and finally, I checked inside the room—there she was, lying under the bed. She had found the coolest spot.

And so, on a summer day, Samsa found me and chose me, and to this day, she accompanies and protects me. Now that she's grown, she takes her guardian role very seriously, yet she hasn't lost her playful side and is always happy to be home. She's one of my four joys, since there are three more dogs at my parents' house!
