Photo-Essay Contest June 2025

How long the wait felt to participate in this contest! Good things always take time.

So, first and foremost, I must thank @stresskiller for the initiative to revive this contest, which, in my case, will be my first time participating.

The color pink 🩷 seemed at first to be a difficult theme to find in my surroundings—it's one of the colors I almost never choose for anything meant for me.

But fortunately, nature helped with 3 out of 6 shots. If we observe our surroundings closely, we can see there are more than just fifty shades of pink.

Initially, the garden was my first source of images, since this season brings an abundance of clovers with small pink flowers all over the yard. Moreover, my mother’s pink roses decided to bloom despite the relentless pursuit of ants.

I had to think a bit more about the rest of the shots, but luckily, even the clothes hanging on the line helped with the task, as well as my father’s paintings that decorate his studio. So, here I present my captured images in pink.*

Que larga se me hizo la espera para participar de este concurso, y es que lo bueno se hace esperar siempre.

Asi que antes que nada, debo agradecer a @stresskiller por la iniciativa de retomar este concurso, que en mi caso, será la primera vez en la que participo.

El color rosado 🩷 me pareció a priori un tema difícil de encontrar en mi entorno, es uno de los colores que casi nunca elijo para nada que sea para mí.

Pero lo bueno es que la naturaleza me ayudó con 3 de 6 tomas, y es que hay más que 50 sombras de rosado si observamos con atención nuestro entorno.

En principio, el jardín fue mi primera fuente de imágenes , ya que en esta época crecen muchos tréboles con florecillas rosadas y están por todo el patio, además se dignaron a florecer las rosas rosadas de mi madre a pesar de la feroz persecución que sufren por parte de las hormigas.

El resto de tomas las tuve que pensar un poco más, pero por suerte hasta la ropa colgada del tendedero ayudó en la tarea, además de las pinturas de mi padre que adornan su estudio...y aquí les presento mis imágenes en rosa capturadas.
