The Golden Armor [EN/ES]

Real life is usually like a roller coaster; there are moments when you're at the top and others when you're at the bottom, moments of fun, calm, and fear, but from all of them you can and should learn something.

Fame, on the other hand, is like armor that prevents you from living reality with its lights and shadows. It forces you to live in an eternal pose because perfection is expected from the famous.

We live in a society where many people chase after fame, but not all achieve it, and of those who manage to embrace it, it seems that not all find the longed-for happiness.

Fame is deceptive; we cannot deny that it has its advantages and benefits, but we also cannot deny that it has a dark side from which sometimes there is no escape.

That's why, if it were the case that fame eventually touched me with its wand, I think it would be an experience I wouldn't enjoy, and although it might possibly come with financial benefits, it would be a heavy burden to carry.

Moreover, in a small country like mine, fame would be even more annoying, because privacy and normalcy would be difficult if not impossible to achieve. We can practically run into any "celebrity" at any supermarket.

The false glamour that is aspired to with fame has a high price to pay; often one must give up being genuine and spontaneous for fear of what the public might say or think.

Not even on social media can one enjoy a small level of fame without gaining an army of haters, whether justified or not.

The pressure it entails is something that possibly no one who has fame expected, and in fact, not everyone overcomes it in a good way.

On most occasions, fame is the collateral damage of achieving success, and you cannot have one without also having the other, which is frankly sad, because I imagine it's something that many successful people would possibly want to avoid after tasting the negative side of fame.

As much as I've thought about it, I cannot find the solution to enjoying fame while experiencing only the positive aspects, without having to suffer the negative ones.

It's obvious that fame and money can create a kind of exclusivity that allows those who have them to create their private, exclusive, and "perfect" circles, but then we see that it has a negative aspect, which deprives them of all the good things outside of those circles.

Furthermore, I think it would be a very lonely and sad life, since we would never know if those around us truly feel appreciation, affection, and respect, or if it's only a relationship seeking some kind of benefit or advantage.

For all these reasons, I cannot understand people who strive to achieve fame even at the cost of forgetting what is truly important.

La Coraza Dorada

La vida real suele ser como una montaña rusa, hay momentos en los que estás en la cima y otras que estás hasta abajo, hay momentos de diversión, de calma y de miedo, pero de todos ellos se puede y se debe aprender algo.

La fama por otro lado, es como una coraza que te impide vivir la realidad con sus luces y sus sombras. Que obliga a vivir en una eterna pose porque se espera perfección de los famosos.

Vivimos en una sociedad en la que muchas personas corren tras la fama, pero no todas la alcanzan, y de las que llegan a abrazarla, pareciera que no a todas brinda la felicidad anhelada.

La fama es engañosa, no podemos negar que tiene sus ventajas y beneficios, pero tampoco podemos negar que tiene su lado oscuro del que a veces no se puede escapar.

Por eso, si se diera el caso de que eventualmente la fama me tocara con su vara, creo que sería una experiencia que no disfrutaría, y que aunque posiblemente venga con beneficios económicos, sería una carga pesada de llevar.

Además, en un país pequeño como el mío, la fama resultaría aún mas molesta, porque la privacidad y la normalidad sería difícil sino imposible de lograr. Prácticamente podemos encontrarnos con cualquier "famoso" en cualquier supermercado.

El falso glamour al que se aspira con la fama tiene un precio alto por pagar, muchas veces se debe renunciar a ser genuinos y espontáneos por miedo a lo que el público pueda decir o pensar.

Ni siquiera en las redes sociales se puede gozar de un nivel pequeño de fama sin ganar un ejército de haters hats motivos o no.

La presión que conlleva es algo que posiblemente nadie que tenga fama se haya esperado, y de hecho no todos la superan de buena forma.

En la mayoría de las ocasiones la fama es el daño colateral de lograr el éxito, y no se puede tener el uno sin que también se tenga el otro, lo cual es francamente triste, porque imagino que es algo que muchas personas exitosas posiblemente quisieran evitar luego de probar el lado negativo de la fama.

Por mucho que lo he pensado, no encuentro la solución para que se pueda disfrutar de la fama gozando solo los aspectos positivos, sin tener que sufrir los negativos.

Es obvio que la fama y el dinero pueden crear una especie de exclusividad que permite que las personas que los tienen creen sus círculos privados, exclusivos y "perfectos", pero luego vemos que tiene un aspecto negativo, que priva de todo lo bueno que hay fuera de ellos.

Además, creo que sería una vida muy solitaria y triste, ya que nunca sabremos si los que nos rodean realmente sienten aprecio, cariño y respeto o es solamente una relación que busca algún tipo de beneficio o ventaja.

Por todos estos motivos, es que no puedo entender a las personas que se esfuerzan por alcanzar la fama aún a costa de olvidarse de lo que es realmente importante.
