Tips & Advices for New Hivers

Greetings friends from #Hive and #IndiaUnited, whose weekly community contest I’m joining today, and whose prompt is the following:

What advice would you give to a new Hive user?

Although I don’t yet consider myself an experienced Hiver, I’d like to share some advice for new users of this beloved #Blockchain.

1. Hive has its own rules and etiquettes—make sure to understand them before you start posting.
   For example, plagiarism is not allowed, nor is the use of Artificial Intelligence to write posts.

2. Your first post should ideally be your introduction.
   Use the #introduceyourself tag in your intro post so the community can get to know you.

3. Keep your keys 🔑 very safe, because if you lose them, it’s nearly impossible to recover your account.
   There is no central authority that stores your “passwords,” so you are solely responsible.

4. Join communities that match your interests.
   There are communities on every topic you can imagine—and if one doesn’t exist, you can create it.

5. Be as active as you can.
   At the beginning, we have a limited number of actions available, but resources recharge over time. So if you can’t post today, you’ll likely have the resources tomorrow (or the next day 😊).

6. Join projects that support new users, such as @Apis.Hive and the Monthly Pizza Contest.
   These two projects delegate HP to users who meet the requirements, giving your account a great boost.

7. By default, set your rewards to 100% Power Up.
   I know you may want to cash out your rewards, but increasing your HP will allow you to earn greater curation rewards.

8. Participate in contests hosted by the communities you’re part of, and support other users.
   Hive is not just a blockchain—it’s a social network. By participating, the community gets to know you, and you get to know others.

9. Try to build connections with people—this is a great way to make new friends.
   There are people from all over the world with diverse interests. There are even annual meetups where you can meet attendees in person.

10. Have fun and remember that Hive is not like other social networks—it has its own features and advantages.
    Hive is a universe where you can socialize, grow, create, meet people, and earn money without needing to be an influencer.

Tips & Sugerencias para nuevos Hivers

Saludos amigos de #Hive y de #IndiaUnited, en cuyo concurso semanal de la comunidad me uno hoy, y cuya consigna es la siguiente:

¿Qué consejos le darías al nuevo usuario de Hive?

Aunque todavía no me considero una Hiver experimentada, me gustaría aportar algunos consejos para los nuevos usuarios de esta querida #Blockchain.

1. Hive tiene sus propias normas o etiquetas, asegúrate de compprenderlas antes de empezar a publicar. Por ejemplo, no se admite el plagio de contenidos, ni el uso de Inteligencia Artificial para escribirlos.

2. Tu primera publicación debería ser idealmente tu presentación. Utiliza el tag #introduceyourself en tu post de presentación para que la comunidad te conozca.

3. Guarda muy bien tus llaves 🔑 porque si las pierdes, es casi imposible recuperar tu cuenta. No existe una autoridad central que guarde tus "contraseñas” por lo que el único responsable eres tú mismo.

4. Únete a Comunidades acordes a tus intereses. Hay comunidades sobre todos los temas que puedes imaginar, y si no existe, puedes crearla.

5. Sé tan activo como puedas. Al inicio contamos con limitada cantidad de acciones posibles, pero los recursos se van recargando, así que si hoy no pudiste publicar, al día siguiente ya tendrías los recursos necesarios (o al siguiente día 😊).

6. Únete a proyectos que ayudan a nuevos usuarios como por ejemplo @Apis.Hive y el Monthly Pizza Contest. Estos dos proyectos delegan HP a los usuarios que reunen los requisitos, lo que da un gran impulso a tu cuenta.

7. Por defecto configura tus recompensas con la opción Estacar al 100%. Sé que tal vez necesites efectivizar tus recompensas, pero si aumentas tu HP, podrás tener recompensas de curación mayores.

8. Participa de Concursos de las Comunidades en las que eres miembro y apoya a otros usuarios. Hive no solo es una Blockchain, es una red social, por lo que participando de éstos la comunidad te conoce y tú a otros miembros.

9. Trata de crear conexiones con las personas, esta es una muy buena forma de hacer nuevos amigos. Hay personas de todo el mundo, y con diversos intereses, incluso hay Reuniones anuales donde puedes conocer en persona a los asistentes.

10. Diviértete y recuerda que Hive no es igual que otras redes sociales, tiene sus propias características y ventajas. Hive es un universo en el que puedes socializar, desarrollar, emprender, conocer gente, y ganar dinero sin tener que ser un influencer.

Espero que esta breve lista de consejos sea de utilidad para los nuevos miembros de Hive.
