Tokens caídos, excesos de proyectos y ordeñar mucho a la vaca + Pepe Power Up Day
Este es antes que nada un divague sobre un montón de temas sueltos que nos está afectando a todos los que queremos que Hive como proyecto perdure en el tiempo.
Ayer estaba leyendo un curioso tópico en el que proponían la quema de 100K HBD como si eso fuera una solución salvadora, y encima queriendo dar a entender que esa es la cifra que se necesita anualmente para el mantenimiento y gastos de X proyectos.
Al final me pareció puro populismo, porque el problema creo que es bastante más complejo y multifactorial. Pero algo que definitivamente no beneficia a Hive como un todo es la duplicación, casi ya multiplicación de dApss que hacen exactamente lo mismo, sin aportar un valor real, pero que se llevan su tajada de los fondos DHF.
Hoy estaba contando los FrontEnds o publicadores y son como 17! De ellos, creo que solo un par o tal vez 3 o cuatro de ellas ofrecen algo único. El resto ofrece algo que ya hay, con otro nombre, pero en síntesis, sin aportar nada a Hive.
No investigué si todas tuvieron financiación de los fondos, pero sí se que al menos 4 o más si reciben fondos permanentemente. Ahora, si fuera al menos una dApp imprescindible como son las que nos ayudan a guardar nuestras claves o facilitar el intercambio de token, genial.
Pero vemos proyectos que ofrecen algo que ya existe, y por supuesto, también quieren financiamiento, y si es posible vivir de ello.
Wow! Concedo que si ofrecen una aplicación que realmente es necesaria, merecen una retribución, pero también creo que deben ser autosustentables, por lo menos una vez se haya implementado totalmente el proyecto.
En fin, también me llamó la atención que el pool de recompensas se concentra en unas pocas manos, pasa lo mismo con los testigos como con los autores.
Y creo que eso es lo que causa que los usuarios vayan alejándose de Hive, porque saben que los proyectos de curación se manejan en una especie de círculo, siempre son curados los mismos autores, cualquiera sea la calidad del "contenido" publicado.
Por supuesto esto desmotiva al resto de personas que publica contenido igual de bueno, o incluso mejor, y es completamente ignorado por las grandes cuentas de curaduría que y tienen sus listas de a quien votar.
Incluso los curadores invitados suelen caer en la tentación de votar más favorablemente a sus círculos. Recuerdo que descubrí a cierto usuario que daba votos mayores en porcentaje a su novia!
Imagino que investigando podríamos descubrir mas comportamientos similares a ese, y creo que a pesar de ser éticamente cuestionable, ya se da por sentado que así son las cosas, y que no cambiarán.
En fin, con tantos extractores de recompensas que viven de vender sus tokens tan pronto como pueden, no resulta raro que su precio vaya en caída libre. Simple ley de oferta y demanda.
Supongo que hay más problemas, y me vino a la mente el auspicio o la corrida de autos que financia Hive y sus mega fiestas anuales... ¿Alguna vez tuvo algún retorno aunque sea en aumento de usuarios?
No sé, porque tampoco nos dicen nada, ni siquiera cuánto gastas en ellas! 😂

Ando escasa de #Pepe por eso solo pude estacar 17K. Pero bueno, de todas formas ya perdí las esperanzas de que los tokens vuelvan a subir de valor, y haré lo que siempre hago, trabajar para cubrir mis gastos de vida, en lugar de ordeñar la vaca hasta matarla.

Anyway, it also caught my attention that the reward pool is concentrated in a few hands; the same thing happens with witnesses as with authors.
And I think that's what causes users to move away from Hive, because they know that curation projects are managed in a kind of circle, the same authors are always curated, whatever the quality of the "content" published.
Of course, this demotivates the rest of the people who publish equally good content, or even better, and are completely ignored by the large curation accounts that already have their lists of who to vote for.
Even invited curators tend to fall into the temptation of voting more favorably for their circles. I remember I discovered a certain user who gave higher percentage votes to his girlfriend!
I imagine that by investigating we could discover more behaviors similar to that one, and I think that despite being ethically questionable, it's already taken for granted that that's how things are, and that they won't change.
Anyway, with so many reward extractors who live off selling their tokens as soon as they can, it's not surprising that their price is in free fall. Simple law of supply and demand.
I suppose there are more problems, and the sponsorship or car race that Hive finances and its annual mega parties came to mind... Did it ever have any return, even in terms of user increase?
I don't know, because they don't tell us anything either, not even how much they spend on them! 😂
