Happy Cassava Harvesting From My Garden

Cassava is a subtropical and tropical plant. We can take advantage of the root and the leaves. The root is a great source of carbohydrates. It can be consumed directly or processed into tapioca starch.

Around 7 months or cultivating.

I planted the cassava around 7 months ago. Planting cassava does not need special care. If the soil is naturally fertile, the cassava tree will grow well. Besides that, the plant needs full sunlight.
I planted on the side of the drainage system to prevent erosion. Sometimes my wife takes some leaves for vegetables. However, taking leaves in the early age of cassava will cause the roots to not expand. Roots are the storage of excess carbohydrates in the process of photosynthesis.
I put some kitchen salt on the side of the trees once a month. The salt helps the leaves grow well. I need a spoon for a liter of water.

The cassava leaves are edible. My wife usually cooks them with coconut milk and small fish or minnows with traditional spices.

I only have four trees. I harvested 2 trees this time. I got some roots. They were all steamed. I wanted to enjoy steamed cassava with black coffee. That was a sweet and simple dish with high carbohydrates.
I cut the wood into pieces, then I replanted again. It is very simple to plant cassava. I cultivated more soil to plant some sticks. It is now the rainy season in my country, so I should not water the plant at this young age. Cassava trees at a young age need enough water. When I was a child, people planted cassava trees in the rainy season. The high intensity of the rain lasted for about three months. After three months, the cassava tree has grown fertilely.

This is the peeled cassava. Look at the white color. It is carbohydrate.
That is sweet steamed cassava. That is a simple dish.

I have been longing to plant cassava, my problem now is the soil, I need to walk 200 meters from our house before I could plant one.

By the way, I love your cassava. Have a nice day ahead.

This traditional food is my grandmother's favorite food, I don't really like boiled eggs, I like it when they make chips.
