El pasado 8 de Mayo, se organizó nuevamente en la Sala Doris Well de la Casa del Artista. Caracas, una nueva rueda de prensa pero esta vez en el marco del aniversario Nr XX del Gillmanfest, festival de rock y metal más importante de Venezuela con el acompañamiento de artista internacional.
Una nueva de experiencia de vivir los conciertos de nuestras bandas venezolanas y de acompañamiento de talento internacional qué ha logrado avivar los corazones en 37 ediciones y con esta la edición Nr 38 convirtiendose así en el festival de rock y metal en el mundo con más ediciones realizadas.
Hemos visto más de 100 bandas nacionales y hemos visto visitar a Venezuela un sin fín de bandas que jamás imaginamos ver en territorio venezolano y en la gran mayoría de los casos, gratis para el público rockero.
En el Gillmanfest han venido bandas como Saxon, Ross the Boss (ex guitarrista de MAnowar) Las Irons Maidens, Tim Ripper Owens, Kraken, Rata Blanca, Uriah Heep, Cactus, Testament y Megadeth, etc
Para el cartél de bandas venezolanas se seleccionó a la banda de Los Teques Artypics, una joven banda de thrash metal que tiende hacer tributo a Metallica quienes tuvieron éxito como banda al tocar en los conciertos Kultura Rock en Vivo, Ravenous Feast del Estado Anzoátegui con elementos clásicos del hard rock y heavy metal cuyo vocalista es de nacionalidad canadiense pero que decidió abrazar la nacionalidad venezolana, Bon Us (banda tributo a ACDC de la era de Bon Scott) integrado por músicos de trayectoria como Eduardo Sáenz, Nicky Scarola, Charles Alexander (hijo de Edgar Alexander), Paul Gillman y Los Valientes y Banda Gillman. Y de banda invitada del exterior, Candlemass de Suecia.
En esta rueda de prensa recorrimos sobre los inicios del mencionado fest, del como surgio la idea, como se consolidó.
También estuvo presente la banda Vhill quienes van a representar a Venezuela este año en el Wacken Open Air 2025 representando también America del Sur en la Wacken Metal Battle.
De ahí se terminó de alistar todo para la celebración de los XX años del Gillmanfest en Caracas Parque Los Caobos.

Mala idea no es. Está forma parte de los movimientos por la paz y la vida y somos las que menos financiamiento recibe a comparación de Corazón Llanero y Corazón Rockero, que por cierto nos quitaron el teatro Aquiles Nazoa (antiguo Cine porno Urdaneta) en la época q dicho teatro lo usaba el extinto movimiento de rockeras y rockeros por la paz y la vida.
