Hello world and fellow Hivers

Well, another Sunday is here and I'm feeling quite relaxed because the previous 2 days I pretty much chilled all day with friends and family. I am excited about the next week also because I have plenty of things to share with you again and I can't wait to work on some new stuff. Also, I would like you to know that pretty big things coming in the @thgaming community real soon. I'm pretty hyped about all of that but I am going to stay silent for the moment. Now let's get back to today's article, it's about a Wild-ranked game and we are going to break down the strategy that we used in order to overcome some rulesets and our opponent's formation.As always the initiative from this series of posts is the Social Media Challenge from @splinterlands.

If you are familiar with the game please skip the next part, if you are new to Splinterlands, I will make a summary for you! I will try to explain what is this crypto game with a few words!
So if anyone is new here and doesn't know what the game is about let me explain it to you. Splinterlands is a play to earn a game in the NFT world. The game operates in the Hive blockchain and it is a trading game genre! To put it simply it's a card game that whenever you win you earn SPS and RP, the more you play and you are going up the ladder, the more rewards you get in quantity both for SPS & RP but you even get better rewards from the chests you are going to open. If you want to join and take a taste of the game, you can do that for free but if you want to start earning SPS and grind for NFT cards and earn more rewards you must buy the Summoner's Spellbook. I totally recommend starting your journey today and to help you with that we are going to review today one battle for my daily ranked games!

The Battle

Ruleset

  • Unprotected: Monsters do not have any armor and do not get any armor from abilities or Summoner Buffs.

  • Spreading Fury: All monsters have the Enrage.

  • Also, we've got 48 Mana Cap and we can play all classes expect Earth.

Summoner Selection

The summoner that I am going to use this time is one of the best summoners in the game, Lorna Shine. The reason that made me choose this particular summoner is the ruleset Unprotected. To explain further the ability of divine shield strengthen the team a lot more since there are no shields available. Another reason is the perfect pairing of this ability with the card High Priest Darius and his ability Resurrect.

Teams' Formation

Team presentation

This is the first card that I placed on the battlefield and this is our main tank in this battle. The main reason I chose this card was the ability to Taunt and of course the high HP it has. So I wanted all enemy monsters to focus their attacks on this specific card because I knew that in combination with the Resurrect ability from Darius, it could delay the enemy monsters enough in order to penetrate at enemy's formation.

The second card that I used in this battle is Bila the Radiant and the reason I chose this card is obviously the ability it has Life Leech. I would like to explain a little bit more about this decision and the main reason is the fact that there is no armor for any of the monsters we are going to play so I chose Bila because it doesn't need armor in order to tank some extra hits.

The third card that I placed on the battlefield was Djinn Renova and one of the reasons that I chose it was the ability to Strengthen and of course the pretty great stats it has. So this ability is pretty useful in this matchup again for the same reasons as before which means that from the moment there is no Armor in this battle is pretty important to increase the amount of HP that my formation got.

The fourth card that I decided to be on the battlefield was the High Priest Darius and the major reason was as I said before the ability Resurrect. Well, I pretty much explained the combo before so I won't go into many details here. I would like to say that the stats of this card is pretty good, especially the 3 Magic attack.

In the fifth place, I chose to place the card Pelacor Arbalest and as I've explained a lot of times in the past this is one of my favorite damage dealers in this class. To be honest I truly believe that this card is one of the best when we are talking about range attack monsters and I don't mind using it even at level 1 as you can see. The ability I really seek is the Double-Strike and this is going to be one of our main damage dealers.

The last place of my formation was filled by the epic card Air Elemental and one of the main reasons that I chose it was the fact that it has a really high Speed and high Range attack damage. So I wanted to secure my formation from the backline and the high speed of this card could possibly evade some incoming attacks and delay our opponent's offense.
