Hello Splinterlands summoners and welcome back to my blog! Splinterlands has just announced a brand new update that is the best utility for land so far: land crafted cards! On 31st March, players will now be able to use resources produced by lands to create cards that can be played in game. Let's check them out.

Thessok Hunter

Thessok Hunter is an offensive melee card. He deals four damage, has eight health and five speed. He has four abilities at maxed level including a couple of new ones introduced with the Escalation mini set. On the other hand, he doesn't have any abilities to hit from afar. He doesn't have much defense to play as a tank so its best to use him in rulesets where melee units can attack from the back like Melee Mayhem or Super Sneak.

Ghostly Blacksmith

Ghostly Blacksmith is a magic unit. He is only four mana but deals three magic damage, has eight health and five speed. At maxed levels he will have five abilities including Incendiary which is not a debilitation in his case because of his Flame Red ability turning his burning status into a personal health buff.

How to Craft the Cards

Card	Cost
Thessok Clan Hunter	2000 Stone + 187.5 Cinder
Ghostly Blacksmith	450 Iron + 187.5 Cinder

It will take resources generated by land such as stone and iron combined with cinder to create them. If you're not a land owner, you can buy the resoures with DEC in the land section.

As for cinder, you can get them by burning eligible cards.

Final Thoughts

Judging by their stats and abilities, the first two cards seem to be stronger than the common cards that came from packs. They have great damage while their mana is not huge. They also come with a lot of useful abilities. The cards coming this month are just commons. I can't wait to see what's in store for us when they release higher rarity cards. For land owners, this is a great update and adds utility to their lands that was envisioned when land was introduced years back. The team has consistently been adding exciting upgrades to our game and we're all the better for it.
