Hello Splinterlands warriors and welcome back to my blog!

Our guild has just finished brawl. After last week's stellar performance where we were the champions, this week we were held back and only placed in fourth. It was a close battle though and either guild could have taken second to fourth places so it was not that bad.

Guild Rank and Personal Performance

We finished in fourth place in a closely knit group from second to sixth. With better luck we could have taken second place but we could have also placed lower. Anyway, I'm satisfied that we're back in contention and not in the lower ranks in the standings.

Good thing my performance improved. I won seven battles out eight compared to last week's six wins out of nine. It helped our guild secure fourth place. Each of us who joined the brawl took 4.9k merits and 59 SPS. It's a huge chunk of my weekly SPS earnings so I make it a point to join brawls and have a good performance.

Featured Battle

The battle demonstrated the power of Quora. I only had two cards in my team compared to the enemy who had a full slot of six team members. The battle had an Earthquake ruleset but I didn't use any flying units. Instead, I used Quora and relied on her healing ability to help sustain her in this gruelling battle. To further support Quora, I put Virid Venomancer behind her. Quora is granted the Shield ability which decrease physical attacks received, including damage from Earthquake was reduced.

The enemy had the the Life splinter and had a tank healer in his team. He also had a unit with Triage to help sustain his allies. In addition, he had a couple of flying units that will be immune to earthquake's damage. Inspite of his advantage in numbers and having flying units, Quora won the battle for the team.
