Our Recent Guild Brawl and Featured Battles

Hello Splinterlands summoners and welcome back to my blog!

We have just finished another brawl. Unfortunately, we are back in the cellars again this week at eight place. Our performance as a guild is very erratic. Sometimes we are fighting for the top places but now we are struggling in the bottom of the standings. In today’s post, I’ll share a breakdown of our overall brawl results, highlight my personal contribution and feature some of my favorite battles.

Guild Rank and Performance

We are in eighth place this week with thirty four wins and twenty two losses. The last placer didn't really compete and played only a total of sixteen battles (ten wins, six losses). We could have been at the bottom if not for the last place guild who didn't join that many battles. Our guild still earned thirty eight crowns that we can use to improve our buildings.

As for me, I still did a decent performance winning six battles and gave away two losses, contributing eighteen points of our thirty four. Our earnings for this week's brawl is low with only twenty four SPS. My season rewards will surely take a huge blow since a huge part of my SPS earnings come from brawls.

Featured Battles

Battle 1 - Shiraza/Ulundin Overseer Combo

The battle discouraged using melee units so I fielded a team of magic and ranged cards. In the frontline I used Ulundin Overseer followed by Shiraza who gave him two magic attacks. Next was the Queen of the Dragons, legendary gladiator card Larissa Kerato. Her two magic attacks and Double Strike ability will be crucial in dealing damage in this battle. Next up is two mana card with four range attack, Kha'zi Conjurer. Finally I had a Taunt unit, Syrenth in last position.

The enemy had the Earth splinter which dampened my magic attack. However, Ulundin Overseer is still a beefy tank that held the frontline while my other damage dealers did their job. Also, my gladiator card triggered her Bloodlust ability a couple of times which increases her stats twice.

Battle 2 - Night Reaper is the key card

I chose the Dragon splinter again in this battle. It had Explosive Weaponry and Magic Reflect in the ruleset. Here, Night Reaper gave me a huge advantage. Not only is it immune to Blast damage, Magic Reflect does not work on it because of Deflect ability. My gladiator card in this battle was Fina Voxom whose combination of high damage, Opportunity and Bloodlust abilities had a snowball effect on her stats. Once the killing started, her stats also increased as the battle progressed.

The enemy chose the Life splinter whose archon granted the Deflect ability to all units. This would have worked if not for Fina who did the heavy lifting and earned the win for the team.
