Hello Splinterlands summoners and welcome back to my blog. Following the end of season yesterday, I bought epic reward chests to reinforce my deck. I'm also buying Escalation cards and they have served me well in the last season.

Epic Chests

I spent over 200k Glints to buy fifteen chests at 15k glints each. It makes sense to me to buy epics since their cost is way lower than 70k legendary. My goal is to have level three epic reward cards. I won't be able to do it immediately and will take several season.

The Cards

I got fifteen new cards. I'm already using Wailworn Specter in my battles and have proven to be useful. I will still have to figure out how the new cards will synergize with the teams I regularly use. My general review in today's post will cover the cards at level three, good for Silver and Gold League where I play.

Voss

Voss is a Fire splinter card that deals two magic damage. It only needs four mana and will be a good card in Little League rulesets. It can also serve as tank in Wands Out ruleset because of its Void ability. It has the Bloodline Tribute ability opening possible synergies with Elowen Sylphie archon together with other Avian bloodline cards.

Wailworn Specter

I'm already using a level one Wailworn Specter in my battles. With its Bloodline Tribute ability, it buffs some of my cards like Blue Wyrm Travesty, Mindless Thrall and Arcane Skinwalker. At level three it gains two abilities and Weaken.

Tandi Janda

Tanji Janda is a card made for Earthquake rulesets. It has the Wingbreak ability that targets and does additional damage to enemy flying units. It also slows down enemy units and has a support ability, Lookout.

Rila Fen

Rila Fen does two magic damage and has three speed. On defense it has three armor and eight health. It has a Divine Shield and Final Rest abilities that may be crucial in certain situations. Having a decent magic unit is a welcome addition to any deck.

Jokari Venshiro

I like Jokari Venshiro's stats and abilities at level three. It packs high range damage of four, has six health and three speed. With Kavor Skarn archon, it will gain another speed stats. It has a Painforge ability making it a good combo to another dragon card, Songale. It has a debuff ability, Blind that will increase chances of enemies to miss. It also gains the Piercing ability at level three, fully maximizing its damage potential against armor.

Kazira Vaelstrik

The epic Dragon cards are good. Kazira Vaelstrik has a lot of utilities in certain rulesets at level three. First it has Flying ability that makes it useful in Earthquake rulesets. It has Immunity for Noxious Fumes and Close Range ability that will make it a great tank in Going the Distance ruleset. It's stats are also excellent, dealing three range damage, has four speed, five armor and eight health.

Saltwraith Pirate

Saltwraith Pirate is a Neutral splinter card that deals two melee damage. It can be used in Little League rulesets with its four mana where it can serve as tank. It has the Bloodline Tribute ability that will benefit all Rodentians. On offense, it cannot miss because of its True Strike ability.

Final Thoughts

I only have one card at level two at this time. It will take some more seasons to reach my goal of level three but that's part of the fun. Building and upgrading your deck while playing is what makes Splinterlands a fun and exciting game.
