Splinterlands Community Engagement Challenge: The Perks of Joining a Guild

avatar

Hello Splinterlands Summoners and welcome to another edition of Community Engagement Challenge! If you have just started playing and battling in Splinterlands, you must join a guild to enjoy the benefits of being a guild member. In today's post, I'll tell you why you should join a guild if you're seriously playing Splinterlands.

Advantages of Being in a Guild

In Splinterlands, battling and earning Glints and SPS is only part of the fun. As a player/summoner, it's better to increase your playing experience by joining fellow players in a guild. Guilds bring players together and offer benefits beyond playing alone. There are several benefits in joining a guild.

1. Perks from Guild Buildings

Guilds buildings provide perks like the Lodge which gives Glint bonuses and Shop Discounts. As guild buildings get upgraded, the members enjoy more perks from them. Aside from Glint bonuses, this can mean discounts on shop purchases, extra rewards, and improved brawl performance. Over time, these upgrades can significantly boost your progress in the game.

2. Guild Brawls

Guild Brawls are special battles where you face off against other guilds. Each participating member can earn Merits that you can use to purchase Gladius packs. These cards are powerful and only available through guild participation, making them a unique asset to your collection. Guild Brawls also reward participating members with SPS. From our last brawl, each of us earned 5,448 Mertis and 79.876 SPS.

Gladiator Cards

Here is my epic and legendary Gladiator card collection. These powerful cards can be used in regular battles if the ruleset allows it. These cards can only be acquired by earning Merits in Brawls and then bought in the Guild Shop.

3. Community

Lastly, another advantage in joining a guild is having the sense of community. Being part of a guild connects you with players who share strategies, tips, and encouragement. Some guilds even help members by delegating cards to be used in rank battles and brawls. For both new and veteran players, this support system can make a big difference in climbing the ranks and getting more enjoyment out of the game.

Where to Find Guilds

1. In Game Guild Tab

You can find guilds by using the guild tab in the game. Filter it by clicking "Hide Full Guilds" so that you can only see guilds with open slots. You may filter it further by language, or by type (Open, By Request, Invite Only). However, this method may be inefficient as you may not be accepted or the guild that you join may not be a good guild. It would be better to search for a guild in option 2.

2. Find a Guild on Splinterlands Discord

There are plenty of guilds on discord that are looking for members. This was how I found my guild, Immortal Gods 4 that allowed me to earn additional SPS and grow my Gladiator card collection at the same time. I also enjoy the perks from our buildings as mentioned above. However, you must have the required cards the guild is looking for like gold foils or diamond level cards. Don't worry, there are plenty of guilds that you can find for your card levels.

Do Your Part in the Guild!

Since a guild is a community, each member should do his part in making the guild successful. First, you must be active to earn focuses that are needed to level up the Lodge. If the guild requires DEC contribution to help upgrade the buildings then you must do your part as well. Lastly, if you join brawls make sure you have the right cards for the Fray that you joined and be sure to play and not lose by default!

Final Thoughts

Joining a guild is fun and adds long term value in Splinterlands. Through accumulating Merits, strengthening your collection with Gladius cards and unlocking guild building bonuses. The advantages will add up over time. What starts as a small contribution to a guild can eventually lead to powerful collective progress. So if you’re serious about growing in Splinterlands, don’t do it alone. Find a guild that matches your card level and start reaping the benefits.
