Hello Splinterlands Summoners and welcome to my Splinterlands blog post. Another brawl was successfully concluded by our guild. In today's post, I will show our performance, the rewards we received and the Gladiator cards I bought from the shop.

Guild Ranking and Performance

Our guild was in fifth place in the brawl. We won fifty nine battles but lost eighty eight. We earned eighty six crowns that we can use to upgrade our buildings.

My performance was better compared to last week. I contributed five wins out of seven battles. Each guild member who joined the brawl earned 4,500 Merits and 62 SPS.

Gladius Case Purchase

Now for my favorite part after finishing brawls. It's time to buy and open some Gladius cases. I only have over 5k Merits which I used to buy two cases. Each case contain five cards with one guaranteed rare or higher. This means that I'll have 10 new cards in my collection.

From the two cases I bought I only got the guaranteed rare cards. There were no epic or legendary cards. Better luck next week, I guess.

Featured Battles

Most of my wins in this battle were with the Earth team using Quora Towershead and Virid Venomancer combo. This combo is strong because Virid Venomancer grant Quora with a Shield ability, making her more tanky on defense especially against fellow Quoras.

A battle where my enemy also used Quora as his Gladiator card. I had the advantage because of my combo and I had Kaylia Silverleaf as my archon.

I had Quora in the tank position followed by Virid Venomancer. From the stats and abilities, my Quora is better than the enemy's. Mine had one more magic attack and had the Shield ability. In third position I had the Silverleaf Warlock who gives additional speed to the team with his Swiftness ability. In fourth, I had legendary Bren Palesworn who has dual attack and benefits from the archon's Bloodline Dominion buff because of his Shapeshift ability. In fifth, I had a one mana filler card and in last, I had an elf Taunt unit to draw attacks.

The enemy team also had Quora but in second position he had another tank that couldn't attack from that position. Maybe it was better if they switched places so that both can attack each round. The rest of his team were long range damage dealers. My team had the better stats, abilities and synergy. I won the battle rather easily.

In the next battle, I used the same Quora and Venomancer combo against a higher level team. The enemy had a level four archon and included the legendary Gramel the Hunger in the team. It was not an easy battle but the combo was still effective and I won in the end.

In the next battle, the ruleset was Wands Out so only units with magic attacks were allowed. The choices were limited to Water and Death splinters. I chose Water because I have a good magic Gladiator card, Flagulon Reine.

I only had five units in my team. Abyssal Elemental took the first position. It's great for tank duties since it has the Resurgence ability. It's a broken ability that allows the unit to resurrect with all health and armor. In second position is the new reward card Mindless Thrall. It's great as a tank against magic units because it has the Phase ability and five speed stats. In third I had Flagulon Reine who has the Blast ability. In fourth I had Chaos Adjutant and in last I had the Shock Trooper. It deals a lot of magic damage but has the Electrified debilitation that hurts his team each round.

The enemy team had a higher level archon and had more units. On the other hand, his units had lower health and he also had a unit with Electrified debilitation. This made his team die faster and gave me the victory.

Final Thoughts

Guild Brawls are a fun and rewarding way to join battles in Splinterlands. They allow me to earn Merits, which I can use to enhance my deck, and also provide another way to earn SPS that I can stake or spend on new cards in the market. Joining a guild also comes with extra perks, such as a Glint earnings boost. If you haven’t joined a guild yet, now’s a great time to do so. Many active guilds on the Splinterlands discord are currently recruiting new members. Head over there and apply to one!
