Hello fellow Splinterlands Summoners! Splinterlands has just announced the fifth Conflicts airdrop card. Captain Frankie is a legendary, dual bloodline (Rodentian and Tideborn), tactics archon. The full details on how to obtain him from Conflicts are in this post. I will not repeat them here but rather share my thoughts and possible combos on Frankie.

Captain Frankie

Captain Frankie is a cute, furry, pirate dog. He's a legendary Life splinter archon with seven mana. He's the second dual bloodline archon after Loving the Moo. He gives Rodentians and Tideborn with Inspire ability. Inspire is a support ability that adds one attack to all melee allied units. Further, he's a tactics archon that grants Piercing and True Strike abilities to two allied units.

According to the lore, Frankie helps Jicarilla the Rime search for the Secret of Praetoria. Such a cute mutt throwing his lot with the dark side... bad dog, Frankie!

Frankie, an awakened dog and captain of the Saltwraith, runs his ship tight as a sail in a high wind. He reads the chop of the sea and stars in the sky with a skill few can match, trusts rope more than rumor, and ensures there is plenty of booty to spread among his crew after a hard day of pillaging and plundering.

With the help of Captain Frankie and the crew of the Saltwraith, Jicarilla the Rime and her allies scour the coastlines and badlands for the Secret of Praetoria. She conjures towering waves and violent storms, reshaping the land in her relentless pursuit of power.

Combos and Synergies

As usual, I limited the cards to only Modern Mode. There are other cards in the Wild Mode that can be used with Frankie. The cards I picked were mostly melee to take advantage of Frankie's bloodline dominion buff of Inspire. I did not include units that already have Piercing or True Strike abilities like Mantaroth or Venka the Vile but they are also great choices to use with Frankie.

Saltwraith Bulkhead

Saltwraith Bulkhead is a Life splinter Tideborn. He has a high melee attack that will further be increased by Inspire. Frankie can increase his offense by granting him Piercing and True Strike. The only drawback is Saltwraith's Weary debilitation.

Kervik

Kervik is a legendary four mana card. He has a high melee damage that will benefit from Frankie's buffs. He has Sneak ability that allows him to harass the enemy backline. He will be a deadly offensive sneak attacker with Frankie as archon.

Riklauniman

Riklauniman is a dual attack unit dealing four ranged and two melee damage. His melee damage is low but it will be buffed by Inspire if Frankie is the archon. He already has four useful abilities and will further be more offensive by including True Strike and Piercing to his kit.

Gramel the Hunger

Gramel the Hunger deals three attacks. Having the Shapeshift ability, he will get Inspire and buff the rest of the team including himself with one melee attack.

Pallus

Pallus is just an epic card but his melee damage is very high. He is ideal in the second position because of his Reach ability. His offense can further be boosted by True Strike and Piercing and will quickly damage the enemy tank.

Final Thoughts

Frankie is a powerful archon that you would want to have to be more competitive. He is an archon that grants offensive abilities to all allied units, especially melee. He can be used in combination with a lot of units. To maximize his Piercing ability, use units with attacks of five and up to make sure there will be more attacks that will go through the enemy armor. This is another card that will be chased by serious collectors and players who want to stay competitive in Splinterlands. Well done!
