Splinterlands: Recent Card Purchases and Watchlist

Hello Splinterlands Summoners and welcome to my blog! I have been buying cards to upgrade my deck and be more competitive. Initially, I was only buying Conclave Arcana sets but lately, I'm buying Frontier sets as well. At first, I wanted to collect the Frontier cards purely from playing but it will take a long time before I can upgrade them.
Buying Cards from In Game Market
These are my recent purchases from the market. I already wrote about Silverleaf Mage and Bren Palesworn in my previous posts. I buy them when I see a good deal. There are more cards in my watchlist that I'm aiming to buy at lower prices.

Kavor Skarn

Kavor Skarn is the Dragon splinter archon. He's only three mana so he doesn not give a buff to allies. He does have a Bloodline Dominion buff, granting additional speed to all Drakoshans. I have some Drakoshans in my deck which benefit from the buff like Dragon Egg Forager, Syrenth, Songale and the new reward card, Withered Old Sage. My Kavor Skarn is at level two, I already bought seven copies and soon I can upgrade him to level four which will unlock the power of my levelled up cards. I decided to prioritize upgrading Kavor because he is a Dragon splinter. I can use him with all other splinters if dragons are allowed in the ruleset.
Little Sister

Little Sister is a legendary Death card in the Frontier set. Initially, she can be obtained from the campaign missions unbound. Since the update, cards from the campaign are soul bound and cannot be transferred.
I bought a copy of Little Sister because I already have two BCX and I wanted to upgrade her to max level. At max level, her stats and abilities are impressive for a Frontier set card. She deals two magic damage, has three health and two speed. She is the only legendary card with two abilities: Life Leech and Flying. She is comparable to the rare, Conclave Arcana Death card, Shadowfey Shiek at level two.

Marlai Singariel

Marlai Singariel is the Water archon in the Frontier set. She buffs her team with an additional magic attack. The Water team in the Frontier has a lot of powerful magic units including Mystic Scaleweaver who is a beast at level 2. There's also the epic Saltwater Mage who deals two magic damage and has the Sneak ability.

I bought a level two Mariel for a little over $1 which is a good deal. I only need seven more copies to upgrade her to level three and then I'm planning to buy two more copies of Mystic Scaleweaver.
Cards on Watchlist
There are more cards I wanted to buy and I check them in the market from time to time.
Archons

I'd like to upgrade my archons to level four and also upgrade my favorite cards that I frequently use in battles. I have three level three archons with Kavor Skarn close to level four. I already have several of my Frontier archons at level two and close to levelling them up to three.
Legendary Cards
I have Mystic Scaleweaver and other legendary cards on my watchlist. Oridum Graybrow will be a great addition to my team but I'm buying if there's a good deal. Recently, I bought Bren Palesworn for $6. I think it was a good price for his stats and abilities.
Epic Cards

I have three epic cards that I want to level up. Molten Elemental and Abyssal Elemental will gain an additional attack at level two. Folen Flameye is my regular tank in the Earth team. I'd like to get him to level three where he'll get Thorns ability.
Final Thoughts
To fully enjoy the cards, it's advisable to level them up. Upgrading cards unlocks their power as they gain more stats and abilities. Further, this will change the way you approach building teams as you will have to adjust your strategy to accomodate the more powerful stats and new abilities. The enemy will also be stronger as you climb to higher leagues and this will add to the challenge and fun in playing the game.
Buying cards helps the game's economy and contribute to its sustainability. We want Splinterlands to be successful so let's do our part. Thank you for reading and see you on my next blog.
