Gorm the Vengeful is a new card that is part of the Arena Vanguard set. He's a special card that can only be obtained through jackpot or purchased using Sparks. I recently got one and his stats are two melee attack, one armor, four health and two speed. His Opportunity ability allows him to attack with melee from any position.

Gorm's stats are similar to another card, Vengeful Monk that's why I call them the Vengeful Combo. I already maxed my Vengeful Monk and has two melee attack, six health and three speed. He also has the Opportunity ability.

Having the two team up makes sense due to their similar abilities. They can both target the enemy's low health units.

Featured Battle

The battle below is a great example when to use Gorm. It's a high mana battle where units are limited because range are not available to use. The only units that can be used are magic and melee.

I chose the Death splinter and had Nim Guard Captain in the tank position. He has decent defense although his attack is lacking. In second I put New Beluroc Aegis to draw attacks. In third and fourth positions are Gorm and Vengeful Monk respectively. They will team up to target the enemy's low health units. In fifth and sixth are magic damage dealers Little Sister and Sorrow Harvester respectively.

The enemy chose Fire with a decent team of melee attackers. The enemy team is faster but I had better damage dealers. The advantage in fire power proved to be the deciding factor and brought me the win.
