My First Pixar Like - Short Video
Many people probably think that using AI tools is very easy. It's true that AI tools can make work easier, but before your work becomes easier, you first need to learn how to use these tools. You need to know how to communicate with them in order to get the results you want.
Before, I only made 2D stickman animations. Then I started doing 2D Chibi-style art animations, and now I’ve progressed to somewhat 3D animation.
I’m not sure if I could’ve made it faster if I knew how to use a 3D rendering program like Blender—but it’s possible it would’ve been quicker.
The problem is, I’ve tried Blender before. It’s actually good and not too hard to learn if you study it consistently, but the issue is that my laptop no longer has enough space to run the program.
So back to the video I made. To create it, I first used ChatGPT. ChatGPT is great for generating images because you can use a reference image for it to replicate. For this video, I used my own face as a reference.
The only problem with ChatGPT is that there’s a limit to how many images you can generate per day.
After generating different facial expressions, I then generated a background image using Copilot. With Copilot, it’s kind of hit-or-miss whether it creates the image you’re envisioning based on your prompt. It took several tries before I got the background I liked.
After that, I went straight to Adobe to edit the images. I first removed the background from the image I generated with ChatGPT, then I edited the background image made with Copilot. These were the results.

After that, I went to Hedra to make the video.
I haven’t explored this AI much yet, but with it, you can add your image, give it an action prompt, then add the voice-over and it will automatically handle the lip-sync.
But it doesn’t stop there. I still had to organize the scenes I made—about 3 scenes in total—and I refined them in CapCut.
Finally, my video was done.
I hope you enjoyed the post I made, and I hope you learned something from it.
Please support my YouTube and TikTok channels, as well as my Facebook page where I post the animations I create.
