James Cameron's Epic Titanic - transformed into memes.

I remember 1997 like it was yesterday!
(But thank goodness it ain't) - And, one of the events of the year, as you would recall, was the release of the film 'Titanic'. There sure was a lot of hype about it - people running all over the place bragging that they'd seen it like ten times at the cinema. I think my sister even seen it twice!

The cynical of those who kept going back would say, 'I went to see Leo die'. As if they thought we'd buy that? They loved it because it was a good romance story - where love ultimately triumphs (except when Kate refuses to let Leo join her on her floating door, and let's him die, and then pretends she loved him all those years, when really, the better choice was just to say, 'I know I'm rich, but I can probably share this with you'.

I didn't get to see this at the flicks, I don't know why - but I do remember seeing it when it came out on VHS! It was one of the longest movies in the world, and I actually do remember enjoying the spectacle of the boat - let's face it, it was a cool ship. I must have been a dumb kid, hoping that the boat would be OK and everyone would survive. I then probably watched it again around 2010 - give or take a few years. As a person who has seen it twice, I think I'd prolly give it a miss for a third time - and to be thoughtful to the new generation coming through, who can't sit still and watch anything longer than TikTok - I thought I'd help by MEME'ing it for you.

All memes created by me using https://imgflip.com/memegenerator
This was my first time ever creating a meme, I challenge you to MEME your own film!

Thank you for this review. I went and saw this movie in the theater and I love the memes. Can't we just share this piece of wood in the freezing ocean? lol

Yep - dumb way to end the film - or, was it the most clever scripting in the world. Gets us talking about it 25 years later? Can't think of any other enduring conversation from films that year ;)

Hahah, I really loved these! Thank you so much for joining the movie memes challenge.
I will probably keep poking the community for more of these, as I enjoy them so much. Here's a !1UP for you!

Absolutely, I enjoyed these too.

You know, since being on HIVE, I've been able to use CANVA quite a bit, and picked up it's use as a legitimate skill. I reckon if you keep the MEME challenges coming, there's another opportunity for skill development too - soon, CineTV will be transforming into one of those upskilling communities (might need to change the name).

CineTV is being worked on a lot so don't worry :) we'll get there.. I hope people like the meme challenge as I truly enjoy them myself!
