New week, new Battle Challenge, this week the subject is the Angelic Mandarin, an interesting card at high levels, but "just" a high Health bait at lower levels.

1 ) Mana cost: 3 Considering its stats, it is a fair Mana Cost.

2 ) Ranged Attack: 1 Low ranged attack stat, nothing exceptional.

3 ) Speed: 2 A bit low, luckily Kelya Frendul boost this statistic.

4 ) Expansion: Chaos Legion. I highlighted that because the Expansion of a card determines if the Monster can be played in Modern and Wild Format, or only in Modern Format.
This card can be played in both Formats because it is from the most recent expansion.

5 ) Health: 5 Really high stat, especially compared to its Mana cost, it makes the Angelic Mandarin a non-melee attack Monster Tank with low Mana cost.

6 ) Element: *Water means it can be used only with Water and Dragon Summoners.

Please note: the Angelic Mandarin has no Armor and no Ability.

Now, let's see the favorable Rule Sets for the Angelic Mandarin:

In low league Battles, the Angelic Mandarin is useful only when it can take advantage of its high Health stat combined with its low Mana cost, nothing more.
As I said, it works as a low-cost non-Melee Attack Tank.

The introduction to the card is over, let's see how it works in battle!

Rules Of Combat: Positive As I shown in the previous graphic, the "Target Practice" is a favorable Rule Set for the Angelic Mandarin.

Mana Cap: Positive High Mana cap allows me to deploy all my best Water cards and the Mandarin as Bait.

Active Elements: Positive Why positive? Because there's no FIre element, so fewer chances for my Opponent to use Melee Attacker Monsters from the Second Lines (they would ignore the "Target Practice" Rule).

Summoner: Kelya Frendul Probably, considering the cards, the best Chaos Legion Rare Summoner, it gives an amazing Boost in Armor and Speed, the ideal Summoner for my strategy, based on resilience and "Speed Control".

The Strategy: I chose a strategy where I could take advantage of Angelic Mandarin's high Health stat. With the "Target Practice" Rule Set the Mandarin (deployed in the second position) will tank a lot of damages from the non-Melee Monsters in my Opponent's deck, while the Cruel Sethropod (in the first position) will Tank the probable Melee Attacker Tank in my Opponent's first position, gaining time for my Magic-Attack Monster that will finish my Opponent's Second Lines Monsters, giving me a clear advantage for the late game.

So, as I said I deployed a low-cost Tank in the first position:

It will be able to take advantage of its high armor stat (boosted by the Summoner and by the Venari Wavesmith) because all the Opponent's Magic Attacks from the Second Lines (that ignore Armor Stat) will hit my Second Lines non-Melee Attack Monsters.

In the second position I placed our protagonist:

I've been lucky and I found it GF so it has even more Health.

In the third position there's an amazing reward card:

Thanks to its stats and ability the Djinn Oshannus can resist Magic attacks and have a chance to dodge Physical Attacks.

After it I placed one of my favorite Magic Damage Dealers:

Great stats for this undervalued card.

Then in the fifth position, there is another amazing reward card:

With its ability, it makes it even more difficult to take down Water Monsters.

And in the last position, I placed a "cleaner", a Monster that kills the Opponent's low Health Monsters:

The strategy was set, let's see the battle:

My Opponent chose a Life Deck, that is based on high Ranged Damages.

The Angelic Mandarin died quickly but it tanked a lot of damage.
Gave the time to my Monsters to eliminate the Opponent's Tank with the Taunt Ability.

I've been able to win preserving half of my Monsters, thanks to my strategy.

Final Consideration: If used in low-level leagues the Angelic Mandarin is just a non-Melee Tank, useful in a few Rule Sets and in a specific types of battles, but:

leveling up, it becomes an interesting support card, capable of healing and de-powering Opponent's Magic-Attack Monsters.
