Bismillahir Rahmanir Rahim

Hi friends, how are you all? I hope you are well, I am well with you.

Dear Friends, December 16 is the Victory Day of Bangladesh. After a long 9-month war in 1971, Bangladesh emerged victorious and became an independent state. Since then, Victory Day is celebrated on 16th December in Bangladesh.

December 16, 2021 marks the 50th anniversary of Bangladesh's independence. To commemorate this day, my nephew and I visited the Nabinagar Memorial in Savar and took some pictures and shared them with you.

Nabinagar Memorial National Memorial of Bangladesh, there are about ten mass graves here. During the war in 1971, a large number of people were buried here. Every year on 16th December, the great Victory Day, thousands of people gather at this memorial to pay their respects to the martyrs.

The National Memorial was reopened on December 16, 2021 on the occasion of the Great Victory Day after being closed for a long time due to the corona virus. Due to which people came a little more this year than every year. On this day, all political and non-political parties of Bangladesh came to the National Memorial to pay their respects to the martyrs.

Some gathered songs to commemorate the martyrs, some came with big flags of Bangladesh and paid homage to the martyrs. Everyone came to the National Memorial in procession with bouquets of flowers, and paid homage to the martyrs.

In fact, there is a lot to be written about December 16th, December 16th is actually a different feeling in my mind. The mind wakes up in the morning with joy, it reminds us that we are an independent nation. We end this day with deep respect and love for the martyrs who gave us this freedom in exchange for their blood.

Thanks
