Let me narrate how it all started.
Years ago when I was operating with steemit blockchain, I met a man whom I introduced steemit to. He told me that he will join later because, presently at that moment, he didn't have android phone. So, later, after like 4 years, he called me, introduced himself including how we met. I was totally surprised at his call. After good 4 years. Wow 😮.
According to him, he now have an android phone and is eager to join the platform that I introduced to him back then. I greatly appreciated him for his eager spirit. But I told him that I am no longer walking with steemit blockchain rather, I am now walking and operating with hive Blockchain which is more better.
I told him all the goodness of hive and all the goodies hive is offering us. Because of how I advertised hive to him, He was moved to 100% action. We scheduled to meet today the 9th day of February 2026 by 3pm. As scheduled, I rushed all my home chores so as to meet up.
By 2:40pm he called to inform me that he is already on his way to our chosen venue. So that's why myself also dressed up to the designated venue which is crunchies eatery.
Reaching there, I waited for his arrival because he was coming from a far place. Few minutes later, he arrived and we took the above thumbnail selfie together.
To show him the goodness of hive, I opened my notification center and he saw how I was rewarded just because I am commenting on the content of my fellow creators. He marvelled.
So he handed over his phone to me for me to process his registration. Ahh, 😫😫 something unexpectedly happened. His phone is 3G network. Therefore, It took 10 minutes before browser could open. I tried signing him up using ecency sign up page, but that one also consumed more than 15 minutes. Finally, everything proved futile because after adding his chosen username and email, the continue button didn't surface as it should be.
I tried everything possible like adding my own username as the referrer, removing it, refreshing the page etc. I Became a bit confused but personally, I drew the conclusion that the fault 😭 is from the phone.
He himself solidly believe that it is his phone's limited function that hindered his registration.
My humble advice to him
I encouraged him to change the phone to a better version. To do that easily, he can go to phone dealers, they will exchange the phone for him, and then, he can balance them up. But if the money is not there, he can also get a new phone through easy-buy. All he need is to visit any phone dealer, request for easy-buy, they will hand any phone of his choice over to him, then, he pays in installment.
He was happy to know about all the above suggestions I gave to him. He said he will check to know the one he will go with.
As he left to his destination, myself also left so as to reach home on time and to arrange this post.
My love for hive is still burning. I will keep on promoting hive as much as I can both to friends and aliens.

Am telling you. He was totally disappointed. But there was nothing I could do to help. I felt bad honestly.

Signing up can be a real drag for some people, there is away around this did you know you can create accounts for others yourself?
Simply go to your wallet where it says SEND Hive click the arrow pointing down and it brings up a menu.
From there you can create as many accounts as you have Hive for, it really is as simple as that.
