Travel digest: A journey to Umuahia our state capital.

(Edited)

‎On the 7th of January this year, I traveled to a city here in Nigeria. This city is our state capital known as Umuahia and because I was inside car down to the compound where we went, I couldn't get all the pictures I wished taking. But I will display the ones I captured and my observation about the place and it's environs.

‎The name of the village is Umuezeagwu, Isiadu Ibeku, in Umuahia, Abia state Nigeria. I traveled to the state to pay condolence to a friend who lost her father and was doing the burial on that very day.

‎Reaching there, the first thing I observed was how hilly and sloppy their land is.

‎It is hilly and sloppy to the extent that one can't just build house like that without laying proper and careful foundation that will help the building to thrive and to endure. Just take a look at the building foundation.

‎Without laying this kind of foundation for this building, there is every tendency that the building must surely collapse.

‎Honestly, this land is highly blessed with a unique natural resource, which other cities around them are buying costly. Gravel or stones are natural resources that we do spend a lot of money to purchase it. And without it, it will be hard to build a well solid house. But this land is highly blessed with gravel. Take a look at the sand they dug out from the man's potential grave.

‎According to my personal research and interview about the people of the land, they told me that most times, they don't even value the stones in their land. Instead of building with it, most people do buy those ones that engine dug out from river. I went on to demand for the secret behind their action, and I was made to understand that these their God given gravel is even stronger than those ones from the river. But the only reason why they sometimes do prefer the one gotten from the river is because theirs is red, while those gotten directly from the river is either white or milky. So any house built with theirs must appear in red color. According to them, they are making a huge amount of money yearly with this their sand because they do sell it out to people from other lands.

As for me, i dont even see the reason why they should despise their own God given gravel. Do you know that many youths there are homeless? But if they should value their God given mineral resources, it will cost them only but cement, zinc and probably, wood(i.e, only if their father does not have enough wood for the building).

‎Digging deep with the research, I was told that despite that the land is pure gravel, yet, it is well fertiled and it produces food without the help of any manure like fertilizer or any other manure. They are greatly blessed by nature.

‎Next time I will travel to this our state capital, I will be able to capture many things including government house and many other sightseeing within the state capital.

‎Below are the scene gallery I captured while at the burial ceremony conducted by Jehovah's witnesses.

‎This is my first time posting in this community. Thanks for checking on my pot.
