Special Containment Procedures: SCP-096 is to be contained in its cell, a 5 m x 5 m x 5 m airtight steel cube, at all times. Weekly checks for any cracks or holes are mandatory. There are to be absolutely no video surveillance or optical tools of any kind inside SCP-096's cell. Security personnel will use pre-installed pressure sensors and laser detectors to ensure SCP-096's presence inside the cell.

Any and all photos, video, or recordings of SCP-096's likeness are strictly forbidden without approval from Dr. ███ and O5-█. source

SCP-096, also called The Shy Guy, has to be one of the scariest SCP if not the scariest of all. He’s called The Shy Guy because, well, he’s shy. If anyone sees his face, no matter how far away they are, even if it's thousands of kilometers, he will find them and kill them.

Most of the time, SCP-096 is passive. But if someone dares to look at his face, even in a picture or video, he will start a "rage phase" which only ends once he killed everyone that have seen his face. Because of his normally passive behavior, he’s been classified as Euclid instead of Keter. But the real danger comes from how the modern world works. Social media could potentially lead to a global disaster. Imagine someone posts a photo of SCP-096 online, and millions of people see it. That would mean SCP-096 would go after every single one of them and anyone in his way would be collateral damage.

At this point, you might wonder: why doesn’t the SCP Foundation just get rid of him? They do have the authority to eliminate the most dangerous entities. But the answer is simple: SCP-096 has insanely fast regeneration. He’s basically unkillable. A bullet hole in his body heals instantly—almost before it even forms.

The Foundation even tried using other SCPs to execute him, but none succeeded. In a test with SCP-682, the Hard-to-Destroy Reptile, the fight went nowhere. 682 eventually learned how to avoid looking at 096’s face, and both creatures just regenerated from any damage they took. In another test with SCP-173, The Sculpture, even though it’s incredibly fast, it still wasn’t quick enough to take down SCP-096 which didn't have any reason to deal any damage to SCP-173 as it is a statue and though can't see it.
