Life is like a Tetris Game

Momma always said,

Life is like a Tetris Game

You never know what piece you're gonna get.

Tetris Giphy from Gifer

We are constantly handed a new piece. Even before we can get it to fit we are given another piece. We never know what piece will come next.

Some who play this game worry about what piece they have and turn it and examine it and by the time they are ready to do something the time is up. Others examine what they have and slide a piece into it a place even though it's not perfect. They know that if they complete the bottom row then they will be given another shot. Ob-La-Di Ob-La-Da...

Life goes on until you can't fit any more pieces in and then with Tetris you can start again. I'm surprised we are given some many second chances to start over. This is grace.

A Tetris game is just a program of variables and life throws us our share of variables but there is more. In Tetris you can press reset any time but in life that reset comes with a cost and sometimes an apology and some forgiveness. Then the game continues.

I realize life is more than a game but a lot of blocks are falling at once these days. Bear with me. I need patience and wit to put the blocks in order.

Peace

The generous Yellow Bird

Learning to recognize the pieces early on in life helps to put together an even more complicated puzzle later on. Here is the same musician 13 years ago working on a Beatles cover and three years ago doing the Tetris theme. Life goes on but when we stick to one thing day after day we begin to see the fruit of our progress.

I heard the refrence to Tetris as, when you fit in, you disappear.

Wow, that's really deep. I'm always looking at the top pieces and miss the bottom row. I see the whole as one's life but I guess the analogy of the pieces also works !LUV !BEER

LOLLL this comment really brightened up my day haha.

@mimepoly also I think that a unique tie into life would be that the environment/education we receive are like different people starting out at different levels i.e. easy mode - hard mode with pieces already in place and ton's of holes.

I for one enjoyed playing it on harder modes as it added a layer of challenge to it. Haha I remember spending a great deal of time throughout highschool playing tetris/falldown on my graphic calculator on the subjects that didn't interest me. !PIZZA

Hahaha I love tetris game but I have never trusted the computer. Sometimes it looks like they give me those pieces that will make me lose lol. But such is life,it gives you difficult situations to see how you will deal with them.

Learning to recognize the pieces early on in life helps to put together an even more complicated puzzle later on

Well spot on! I think that is critical in life.

I guess if nothing fits you can always start with new pieces. The problem with tetris is the speed picks up as you play... and then those pieces you don't need... I winder sometimes if we can just blow them up !LOL

I'm surprised we are given some many second chances to start over.

Absolutely true else we really don't know where a lot of people would have been now. You're a very good teacher indeed who uses captivating illustration to pass on information and that's super cool. !PIZZA

Wise words, from a wise person.

You never know what to expect from life, sometimes life just throws something at us and how we react to what we're given defines how far we'll go.

Life goes on until you can't fit any more pieces in and then with Tetris you can start again. I'm surprised we are given some many second chances to start over. This is grace.

It's grace alright, without it we'll be devoid of 2nd chances and I'm wondering how life would be without 2nd chances.

Thanks for sharing ❤️

I'm glad you were invited to this blockchain. You caught the main point. It seems like every day I am given a second chance... I should get the game right this time !LUV !LOL !PIZZA !BEER

I'm also glad too @mineopoly
Even if you don't get the game entirely right, you've played it before so you'll easily know how to navigate through it, but it still wouldn't be that easy because you don't know what's coming next.

Hmmm @mineopoly I love that young guitar man and these music videos.
Good that our lifes are longer than a tetris game. Sometimes we just have to go on and dont think about the holes we made in the past ☺

Yes,

And at just the right time we are given a piece that actually fits and fills the empty holes we had left behind. !LUV !PIZZA
