My Actifit Report Card: November 22 2025

The main drain and hydrostatic value cover in my pool got cracked and damaged. I suppose it did well lasting over 25 years. I held off buying a replacement for ages and even had a go at making my own replacement out of spare parts I had at home. Each attempt was ok but never as good as the real thing. Finally, I forked out $45 aud for a replacement, which was painful because I had to buy the cover and base as one unit.

It was a pretty simple job and just needed to be put in place and tighten 2 stainless steel screw. The only problem was it was 6 feet under water and I needed to hold my breath and use a kettle bell to weight myself down and keep me at the bottom of the pool long enough to get the job done. It took 4 goes to get it right and ended up feeling like a bit of a workout! Unfortunately, there was no way of recording any of the activity count lol. At least it was summer, and I didn't need a wet suit.
