One of the major causes of illegal money making among youths is peer pressure. Mr A did well, financially, so, Mr B wants to do everything possible to also do well financially.
Many people have gone into many illegal things, not excluding scamming, drug dealing, stealing e.t.c. it's quite sad ya'know. It's sad to see that people are not strong enough to follow the long path and get legal money, rather, they follow the short path and land themselves and the society at large, in a lot of trouble.

This sums it all. It's the clear reflection of what happens in our society. A lot of pressures, coming from sources that shouldn't. Youths succumb and do all sorts of things, like the ones you mentioned. In the end, we have society and individuals, not only the perpetrators, suffering the effect. It's really sad.
