RE: How to produce your own low budget music video

I appreciate this guide.
As a former video producer in the music sector I'd like to posit a few more points highlighting the technical requirements of a video production.
The number one factor, other than the time of your colleagues/crew is your equipment (and how you can maintain it on location).
This includes Cameras, Lenses, Tripods, Hard Drives, SD Cards, Cables, Spare Batteries and more.
Furthermore you'll likely need serviceable audio equipment in the shape of recorders and microphones.
Next is the lighting and grip/gaffer stuff. Bulbs, tripods, cables, converters, cable extenders etc.
Without equipment, no video.
Budget your equipment. If you don't own it, you need to rent it (or summon it elsewhere). Ideally you need your own stuff though that is not under any time constraints.
Fortunately nowadays DSLR Photography allows a decently priced entry into "semi-professional" quality with relatively few barriers. If you want proper 4k/cinema quality we are talking about a different dimension of investment.
But once the video is filmed/captured, the real fun begins!
Are you going to be editing yourself?
Will you hire someone to do it?
Do you have a computer that can handle it?
Even if your shoot goes flawlessly, still need to have enough in the budget for a good edit (and something to edit it with) :)

thanks for all this input! Solymi is already working on on part 2 of this post and he will implement almost all of the things you mentioned. Fortunately we have access to professional equipment. Solymi owns cam and audio equipment and @rhzm is going to rent us his lighting equipment.
Post production will be probably all done by Solymi so we can keep costs low. Unless we find someone in the hive community who is willing to get involved in it. Thanks again for all the valuable input and if you would like to help us in any form feel free to jump on our discord.
