Searching For Friends Of Peace - Day 1 || IAmAliveChallenge (IAAC)

The day was Monday 17th of November, 2025, officially commence the preaching campaign in search of the friends of peace at Ikot Abia, Mkpat Enin local government area of Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria.

As early as 5.30am we were up to start the morning routine and preparation to move. We considered the morning worship daily text, then preparing the breakfast, taking the bath and getting dressed and then eating the breakfast together.

By 8.45am we were already at the kingdom hall for the meeting for field service where we meet with the local brothers and remind ourselves the urgency in the search for friends of peace. After pairing and the prayer we set out for the first territory at Ikot Edeghe, Mkpat Enin local government. Little did we know that the territory is a distant one that took us almost an hour trekking to arrive there. Some among us, the aged ones were convey by motorcycle, and almost every one of us were tired out by the time we arrive the territory, but not minding that, we were focus and determine to do the work since it is a work of self sacrificing.

Even the youngest among us was determined to get to the territory and commence preaching with smiling beaming faces that convey the silent expression that they are happy to worship the happy God. These dear ones took permission and left their school to join the rank of volunteers.

As we progress every steps, the distance left still looks as if it is endless especially since we have not been there before but forward ever and backward never.

At last we got to the territory and the work began. We were thrilled to declare the excellency of God love and promises soon to be realized in a global scale. Most of the houses are mod and thatched, some were without occupant indicating that they have moved to the cities, and those we met were happy and eager to learn more of which we book a return visit.

By some minutes after 1 o'clock, we have completed one section of the territory, and since the sky wear the looks of impending down pour, we gathered, have a brief discussion about the experiences and set to return to our base, another round of trekking back home awaits us.

We took some beautiful shots with smiling faces for a job well done.

As the rain began to descend we make our journey back home with the help of the umbrellas.

By the time we arrive home, we were all more than exhausted, individually we get to our corners to rest our foots.
