Searching For Friends Of Peace - Day 4 || IAmAliveChallenge (IAAC) #200

The day was Thursday 20th of November, 2025, the fourth day of the preaching campaign in search of the friends of peace at Ikot Abia, Mkpat Enin local government area of Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria.

As usual by 6.00am we were up to start the morning routine and preparation to move. But before moving out, we considered the morning worship daily text which was taken from Judg 15:14, which emphasizes how Jehovah’s spirit empowered Samson. When Samson was born, the Philistines were ruling over the nation of Israel and oppressing it. (Judg. 13:1) Their harsh rulership brought great suffering to the Israelites. Jehovah chose Samson to “take the lead in saving Israel out of the hand of the Philistines. Samson cannot achieve this tasks by his power, hence he would have to rely on Jehovah.

So in the same way we cannot achieve our aim of being here at Ikot Abia, Mkpat Enin local government, we need to rely on Jehovah’s strength and spirit to lead us. As we go about in search for Jehovah’s friends of peace, our trust is on Jehovah for success. This message of course was timely in view of the fact that we are strengers, preaching in unknown territories.

After that we then prepare the breakfast, took our bath and get dressed and then settle to eat the breakfast together.

Some minutes to 9.00am we were already at the kingdom hall for the meeting for field service where we meet with the local brothers. After pairing and the prayer said, we set out for the fourth territory at Ikot Abia, environs Mkpat Enin local government.

Just like the previous territory in day 3, the area do not have closed-by buildings, so we have to stretch out and enter all the knocks and crannies to search for these lovely friends of peace and delivered the message of hopes and promising future soon to come.

After preaching for some hours from house to house, we sat to take a break and enjoy some coconut provided by another brother there.

Meanwhile at home one of our brother who was coming from Uyo to join us have two Bush meat so that we can use it to prepare pepper soup and refresh ourselves.

So when we finally close for the day and return to our hostel, we then settled to prepare the meat, cooked it and enjoy the sensational aroma and tastes of these God creature for human consumption.

It was really a thrilling experience working in God's vineyard.
