Weekend Farming - Uprooting Cassava || IAmAliveChallenge #171 || IAmAliveAndThriving || 19.10.2025

Saturday is the farming time. There were many activities and engagements in my Saturday list but I had to give priority to going to the farm for cassava harvesting which is to be process into garri.

My congregation have a forthcoming two weeks preaching campaigns in a seldom work territory at another local government and preparation have been in a top gear for the past weeks to have a successful camping.

Food items, toiletries and other items are being gathered which is the reason we to go for the harvesting of the cassava. As early as 7.00am we get at a particular location and move to the farm at Ntak Inyang - Uyo. It's quiet a Ling time that I have done thus and doing it now is fun couple with the fact that we were many which gave us the opportunity to talk, laugh, and share ideas together.

After Uprooting, we had to stack the cassava into the bags and take them out of the farm to were it will be pealed, washed, grind and pressed it to dry before frying takes place.

I love the spirit of oneness and corporations exhibited by the brothers and sisters as they gave up there individual activities and joyfully participated in this work.

Looking forward to the camping in few weeks to come.
