Meme challenge #272 - Entry #1

Joan drove her convertible car with her hair up in a mauve scarf, a gift from her maternal grandmother years ago that she treasured. Suddenly a gust of wind blew the scarf out of her hair, and she managed to stop the car and turn around to watch the garment flutter like a butterfly higher and higher. Distraught at the loss, she started driving again, but just after the bend, large boulders blocked the road and some were still rolling downhill. Perhaps her grandmother's invisible hand had saved her life by stopping her before she was run over.

Joan guidava la sua auto decappottabile con i capelli raccolti in un foulard color malva, regalo di anni addietro di sua nonna materna a cui teneva molto. Improvvisamente una folata di vento glielo sfilò, riuscì a fermare l'auto ed a girarsi per osservare l'indumento svolazzare come un farfalla sempre più in alto. Affranta per la perdita riprese la marcia, appena dopo la curva dei grossi massi bloccavano la strada ed alcuni rotolavano ancora verso il basso. Forse la manina invisibile della nonnina le aveva salvato la vita facendola fermare prima che venisse travolta.
