Yes. It is unbelievable what we were able to accomplish 56 years ago. That’s all I’m saying.

I know that it was all very expensive. What is USA spending $$$ on now ?

Ai ? Military ?

The US spent approximately $25.8 billion on the Apollo program between 1960 and 1973. This translates to roughly $257 billion when adjusted for inflation to 2020 dollars.

The US military budget for 2024 is $997 billion, a 5.7% increase from 2023. This figure represents 37% of the world's total military expenditure.

The US federal government spent approximately $882 billion on interest payments in Fiscal Year (FY) 2024. This represents a significant increase, nearly tripling since 2020. Net interest costs are projected to continue rising, potentially reaching $1 trillion this year. This is due to both rising interest rates and a growing national debt.
