Nearly $1000 bucks for thirteen paintings? That would be a bargain.
W is your hourly wage, correct? Then W + M is materials plus one measly hour's wage. I think you might mean to say .30 (H * W + M)?
I saw your formula in the last book of yours that I read, and used it (as I understood what you meant) plus the spot price of a troy ounce of silver at the time, to calculate what I sent you for the book, I think I used $30 per hours for W. I'm pretty sure there was far more than 15 minutes of your time involved.
How many artist hours went into each of the 6 paintings you did with Rose?

This is embarrassing yet par for the course. Yes! You are right. And I should never embark on business ventures. I am literally laughing out loud! And it’s published! You’d think I could have gotten ANY 4th grader to check my math. I sure know how to be frugal, but for some reason I can’t even write a simple equation that could potentially improve my financial lot:) Last year a man drove here from Rochester wanting to look at my studio. He left with 11 roughly 18 x 24" loose canvas paintings for $550. They were a hundred dollars a piece, and I talked him down to $50. I think I offered him a cheese tray too. You see? It’s nearly a crime to be this bad at business.
But always a good story!
I would think an average of 12 hours went into each one. Rose 6, Ron 6, for we rarely worked standing together. A few times, but not enough to account for.
This would not be your price, of course, since you bring an uplifting enthusiasm to my efforts.

So [(12*40) + 50]+.30(530+ 159)= $689 for a large oil on stretched canvas. I think that is a very fair price! You may throw in a cheese tray. I'm sure it will have a lovely selection. And if you can find good figs, mores the better. Home made sourdough perhaps? Still warm from the oven? And butter. Never eat cheese without butter. I put butter on triple cremes.
