Baby seal surprises new zealand bar

Last sunday evening, customers in a small bar in Richmond, New Zealand had an unexpected guest, not a celebrity person but enough to become a bigger news than a celebrity's visit. A baby fur seal wandered into the bar. The co-owner of the Bar, Bella Evans thought that it was a dog until she saw the baby fur seal crawling across the floor.
Everyone in the bar did not know what to do with the baby fur seal, would you? Best option you got is to call animal control.
As the seal was exploring the bar like it's a normal day for it, it tried to escape when people were attempting to guide it from the bar and ended up hiding under the dishwasher.
The bar staff unplugged the dishwasher and waited with the seal until one customer went home and returned with a crate to transport the baby fur seal. Bella Evans then remembered that the bar served salmon and that's what she used to entice the baby fur seal to come out from under the dishwasher.
Shortly afterward, conservation rangers arrived. They said that they had been tracking the seal all day before it entered the bar so it's even a good thing the seal technically got trapped in the bar.
According to rangers, during the seasonal silly season, juvenile seals sometimes venture far inland. Finding a baby seal in a bar is uncommon, but it does happen. The rangers transported the baby fur seal to Rabbit Island which is a dog free zone.
The staff has reportedly named the baby fur seal Fern and now claim that the bar has the seal of approval. The bar will continue to serve salmon in case the baby fur seal, Fern visits again.
