Can't lose what you don't have

Ever heard the phrase losing time? Well yeah we can lose time but that's not exactly the time phrase I'm talking about. I'm talking about a person's past and a person's future.

We all have our past moments, memories, what we did with that time we had, both good an bad, the happy and sad ones and oh, the regrettable ones too. We all have a future, whether we live or die. Yes obviously the dead has no future but technically, anyone that has died is dead but today is still their future.

Whether you're alive or dead, just think this through, do you have your past in your hands. The answer is no, there's nothing you can do about that. Is that future right there before you? Also no. We could argue that our actions now determines our future outcome but we've lived long enough to understand his how unpredictable life can be so basically we don't have the future in our hands. We only have hope that our actions today will result in a future of good benefits to us.

The past is already gone and the future has not yet come, we own neither if it. And guess what, since you don't have it, it cannot be taken away from you.

Truly speaking, the only time we have is now, our present. As in writing this article I feel fill control to decide what goes into this blog and what doesn't. My next words are determined by myself. If my brain gives a suggestion and I don't approve then I won't include it into this blog. I have control because I have the present and that's actually something people can take from you.

They ca take your time now by becoming a distraction to you, by treating you in a way that makes you use the time for productivity to instead rant or feel sad. That's the thing we need to protect, our now.

Oh yes, we can use the past. We can remember it, remember th experience and lessons learned and use that new knowledge in our present to plan ahead towards our future. But all actions isn't taken in the past nor the future but is taken now, which makes now the controller of past and future.

So now that you know you don't have the past therefore cannot control it, why burden yourself with it too much. Why let regrets waste the time you actually have. Also with the future, it hasn't yet come, why feat what hasn't happened yet, yes perhaps you think your greatest fear might come upon you but since anything is possible, it's possible it may not happen and so waste no thought over that but use what you really have, Now.

We live, decide and act in the present, let that be more important to you than past and future because the present can use the past to set the future in your favor, that's your power right there.
