Home Alone, the Christmas tradition for some people

We have a few days to Christmas, and there are so many things people all around the world do as a tradition during Christmas festive.
Every year during Christmas time, I instinctively do the same things, and Christmas is never complete for me without watching Home Alone. I treat it like my very own sacred tradition and I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one in this boat. Some people choose other activities, like baking cookies, decorate the house with lights. For me, I stay home, get cozy and watch Kevin McCallister take down grown ass men with paint cans and toy cars. And no matter how many times I have seen it, I never get tired of this movie.
There is some type of comfort to it. Maybe it's because of the nostalgia that comes with the movie. It's like transporting yourself back to the days of being a child when Christmas break was basically endless, and the only thing that was a worry, was what you would receive for Christmas. Or perhaps it is the way this film captures the random craziness of life. At one moment you're laughing at Marv stepping on a nail, and I always say sorry, Marv in my head, then the next you're feeling emotion when you see Kevin wishing for his parents to return home.
I also get closer toy siblings after watching this movie because I see how important family is.
Every year, I find something new to appreciate about this movie. A line I did not understand before. When you're a kid watching a movie it's funny in a way, but as you mature you understand details you never got.
A small decoration in the home. Or simply how the entire feeling of this movie takes you back to the carefree, whimsical ways that holiday films used to make you feel. They don't make films like this anymore, these days it's CGI and superhero stuff with too much fight scenes and less context and storyline. I am too young to say I miss the good old days, but I do miss it.
That is why I keep going back. It isn't just another movie for me, it is a bonus feeling that I'm familiar with, kind of like your favorite cozy blanket, you only get out during the month of December.
Merry Christmas in advance everyone. Who's getting ready to watch this movie all over again. What was your favorite, Home Alone 1, 2 or 3. I know there are about 6 of them but I'm not really a fan of the rest as I am of the first three.
