How do cats really see moving cars

Oh boy, if you have a pet cat you obviously already know cats are weird like they see things so different than us. I was just watching my cat a few days ago after dinner and a car went by outside and he just froze like his brain stop working or something. I don't blame him he doesn't leave the house much.
I think they don’t see cars like we do. What we see is a big metal thing going fast but for them maybe it is like a big shadow that moves weird. Sometimes I catch the cat staring for a long time then jump or run away like he just realized the car is there.
I read somewhere that cat eyes are really good for seeing movements of things but not so good for details so maybe all they see is blur blur blur and then boom danger maybe when the car gets too close.
My cat always acts like a ninja when he sees a moving bike or something too so I think fast things confuse them but also excite them enough to look with curiosity. If a cat spots danger and it knows it's a threat without a doubt it'll run or attack so to look means they're curious and want to know exactly what it is.
They twitch and flick their tails like they are trying to figure out what to do. I swear once my cat watched a car for about five minutes and then ran under the table when it got scared. But other times they just stare as if they are plotting something. I think cats brains just process fast stuff different than us like maybe they think cars are monsters or really big birds that move too fast.
And they never tell us anything about it just look at us like we are dumb for not understanding. It is funny and scary at the same time like, well they do live in their own special world and understand themselves better than we do. I love watching them when they're freaked out looking at the car coming.
