When you feel like someone doesn’t care about you, believe in that feeling. Your body knows before your mind does. You text them, you wait, you wish but they don’t respond back. They reply with one word texts. They make excuses not to see you. They blow off your effort to hangout with them. You are in dismay, but the truth is right there, very obvious

You look for signs. Deep down, you know the possibility of it working out is bleak at best. They don’t ask how your day was and couldn’t give a damn if they tried. You talk and talk but they are never listening. They’re just waiting their turn to speak. They’re missing when you need them most. You fight harder, pray more, promise more. But they slip through your fingers easier.

It gets very frustrating because it’s always been all up to us.

My advice to you is to stop and look again. Ask yourself what you want. Ask yourself what you want to tolerate and what your boundaries should be. Ask yourself why you keep staying. Sometimes you wish they’d change, but they won’t change because they don’t want to. They keep distant, so you keep on suffering.

You’re worth much more than that as well. You shouldn’t have to ask for someone’s attention. You should be in a relationship with someone who knows your worth and wont’ forget it.

So trust your feeling. It tells you something real. When someone doesn’t give a shit, you notice it fast. You feel empty after talking with them. You feel stupid for trying. You feel alone next to them.

You don’t need that.
