Looking at an antique Grinder, didn't even know what it was till yesterday.

Yesterday, I had the chance to visit the farm where my uncle works in and expected a normal quiet day knowing how busy my uncle is, I knew we would not get to talk for that long. While he was busy doing his thing, I took that time to walk around a little in the farm just to explore on my own.
I found something I had never seen before. Well in my defense I'm a city girl and don't do a lot of outings. It was an old wooden shed that looked unused and almost forgotten, not even proper maintenance. Perhaps it's where they kept the old stuff.
Inside the shed, I saw a large iron machine in the corner. Just the mere size and heavy cast iron frame is enough for me to know that it was very old.
It definitely doesn't look like any modern farm tool I have seen before. I became very curious and wanted to find out what the machine was. So I did what any Gen Z would do, picked up my phone, took a shot and used Google image search. The search results showed that apparently I was looking at an antique grinder or mill.
I could have asked my uncle but then again, busy man, he gave me some snacks and cash though so thanks uncle.
These machines were used long ago to grind grain, crush seeds or make animal feed so I was told. The big round wheel on the side was a flywheel, which helped the machine turn smoothly and before electric motors existed, the flywheel was what kept the grinding steady and strong.
On top of the machine was a wide hopper and that's where the farmer would pour in corn or other dry crops.
The thick iron body showed just how much pressure the machine had endured when it was in heavy use, probably in the 90s.
Even though I did not know exactly how it worked, it was obvious it was very important in the past. I did some search on YouTube and watched how they used it. You'd be surprised how many people can't really identify these tools, especially introverts like myself.
This thing made me understand that farming was not only planting but also the food processing too. While I was watching it, I could imagine the noise and power the machine has.
Oh believe me, this thing is so noisy. Like really noisy. I don’t even know what to compare the noise to.
😂😂😂 I'm thankful it was not working when I was around 😂😂😂
