Mind Over Matter

A problem is no longer a problem the moment you know the solution. You haven't yet solved it, its still there, but since your mind tells you, there's a solution and you have access to the solution, you stop bothering about it.

So the question is, what was bothering you, the existence of the problem or your mindset about it? Well, based on this concept, it's your mindset about the problem.

Problems usually start in our mind. We even worry about things before they really happen. A lot of the problems we have are not as big as we think, our mind has a way of making it bigger.

There are people with so much self control, they'll be going through worse problems than the ones you're freaking out about and stay stoic like nothing is even going on. If they open up to you, you'll be surprised that they could stay this calm and collected with such a problem.

Mind is how we think and matter is the real world around us. Some of the problems we consider as problems only exist in our thoughts but not in reality. Of course there are real world problems we face but the point is a lot of them are not as big of a deal as we make them.

The real problem we have is giving attention to little problems. When you give too much attention to small problems, they start to get bigger in our minds and we worry needlessly.

Forming the habit of ignoring minor problems doesn't come easy but if done well, it can make life way easier for you. It's a matter of self control. You need to be the one who chooses what to focus on. If you can decide what to focus on, you finally have control over what problem affect you.

If you have a relaxed brain and don't let every little problem you face get to you, you are able to see your problems more clearly and solve them faster.

Overthinking is a trapper. Not only does it trap you, it either slows you down from making progress, confuses you from making better decisions or stops you from making a move. Before long, it's too late and you missed your opportunity.

We don't have control over the outside world and we should just accept it. Accepting it and doing only what we have control over saves us from so much stress.

Your daily choices are very important. Choices like deciding not to argue over minor issues and not responding to people's negative remarks intended to discourage instead of help you get better. That's how you put the principle to action.

We have real problems that need action and we can't pretend they don't exist, but worrying about them does not help solve them so why don't you save your mental strength for the solution. Don't get your mind stuck in many problems, that's how you get the problems to lose power over you and chances of finding a solution is higher when you're calm than troubled.
