One thing you can't afford to waste is time

When it comes to making large purchases at the mall or online shopping, we always look into our account before, to see if we have enough money to spend on a purchase. nd when we're done, we check the account to see what's left after that buying spree.

When it comes down to it, we spend time just like we spend money that's why the sentence "time spent" is accurate English grammar.

We scroll through our social media feeds for hours but plan things for days that never come. And we wait years to find the perfect moment to make the right and productive decisions we know we need to make. We waste time more than we waste money.

The problem here is we have no idea how much time we have left in our lives. You could have years or days left to live. We usually think we have lots of time ahead of us. Nobody knows how much time they've got except those diagnosed by doctors of a fatal disease and how long they have to live which is mostly an estimate anyways.

At one point, I thought managing my time wisely meant to be productive. That if I organized my weeks, I could create more time to do even more. But you can't even manage time. The only time you can manage is how much you will spend time on things that are more important to you.

And the truth is most people will spend their time on things that won't bring fulfillmentm That's why so many people can sit for three hours on their phone and then say, I didn't have time today. Or they stay in situations like jobs, relationships and habits that are detrimental to them because it is easier to stay than the effort it'll take to leave.

Perhaps the reason we waste so much time is not that we waste time but rather that we forget time is leaving us. Each and every moment you are reading this, that moment is gone. You don't have the ability to bring it back or save it for later.

I'm not suggesting that you quit your job or take up cycling up mountains or anything like that, I am only telling you to take an honest look at where you put your hours. Because you will be using your hours, whether you realize it or not.

And one day, you will find that there are no more hours left in your life.
