Steve Rattner fact checks Trump on the claim of inheriting the worst inflation in history
In a desperate attempt of Trump to keep shifting blames of inflation to the Biden administration he keeps saying something and experts keep correcting him but he just keeps on saying it.
I can't believe how hard it is to keep up with all this inflation stuff these days. I've been following the inflation news for a while now and I'm tired of hearing what's being said from some people who are not using the charts and what the reality is. A financial Steve Rattner recently put out a report on how the numbers work and it doesn't match what the President states at all.

Trump has even said he came into the presidency with the worst inflation he has ever seen in decades or maybe the worst ever seen here in USA when he got in but really? When Trump took position in January inflation was approximately somewhere around 3% and also previous to taking office it had gotten down to possibly 2.7% so yeah there may have been some reality to stating that inflation went as high as 9%, especially for the current year of the pandemic, but certainly the previous administration had already taken measures to bring back inflation before they left.
Now that is what is messed up about such a statement. We're starting to see some positive price decreases with commodities but suddenly with tariffs destroying costs and what just happened with tariffs you know that every local and independent merchant had to raise their pricing to offset the predicted cost rises.
And with regards to the 2% inflation target that all of us hear economists talk about could be getting further away now.
I wonder if perhaps he is on to something with the repetition kind of like how politicians address the voting public, perhaps he's saying it over and over until the people who don't fact check believe it. Because even after many corrections to statements by him on facts and verified data shown that they were untrue the same statements still keep coming back, I'm you questioning if facts even really matter anymore to these guys or just merely what sounds correct and can stick in the heads of people.
