They're quick to notice yours

It's seems to look like human nature, people often watch how others act, how they behave, what they say and what they do but barely watch themselves.

They're quick to notice when your tone or attitude changes in a negative way and they're quick to react to your change because it affects them directly, but they rarely think about what they said or did first to cause you to change.

Yeah I get that we shouldn't let what people do determine what we do but admit it's you're only human and sometimes you react unintentionally.

Some people's rude actions or careless words against you can hurt so badly that you forget all your principles of virtue and morals.

When a person feels hurt many times, their attitude slowly shifts to the negative side, their mood, everything about them changes. This shift is not sudden, it builds over time. And that's the worst kind, those that bottle hurt till it spills over.

When that happens, people may say you have suddenly become cold or distant without bothering to ask why.

They judge the result but ignore the cause, almost always. Isn't that just unfair? They see your reaction but not the moments that led to that reaction. I'm not making an excuse for you to flip over and over react but it's understandable why that can happen.

It's somewhat natural that most people do not check their own behavior towards others but the behavior of others towards them. They may believe they did nothing wrong when they actually did and did so many times without noticing.

You can't expect others to always stay patient with you and this belief in of itself can make you blind to your own mistakes.

Remember this, a change in attitude is sometimes a response to something and not an attack to it

It is unconsciously a way to protect your feelings and it's also a sign you no longer trust the person because of how many times they've proven to be untrustworthy.

The right thing to do is to always ask what happened instead of blaming. Talk it out with the person for all sides and angles of the story to be clear before passing your own judgment. Or better yet, don't judge.

Try your best to understand the feelings and the actions of people. Don't just look at the act, find out what led to it before you judge.

Every story has two sides and when both sides reflect, relationships can improve in the positive direction but when only one side reflects, distance and mood changes will happen naturally.
