Trials and Strength

There is a powerful saying and it's a bit of a debate as to whether it was by Seneca or a Chinese Proverb, but either ways it's a deep quote that I believe if we keep in our hearts as we walk through life, it can help us stay positive.

We need that positivity if we intend to keep moving forward.

The saying goes:

"A gem cannot be polished without friction, nor a man perfected without trials."

A rough stone would need rubbing to transform into a shiny gem, if a stone had feelings, that rubbing process would be unbearable right? It would be nothing but pure pain, but if the stone endures that discomfort, it turns into something that we adore more than just mere stones, it becomes a priceless gem.

This is trying to let us know that we actually need challenges to grow and improve our lives. Anything you're involved in, enduring the hard times is what makes you better at it than anything else.

The difficult skills are the ones that are most appreciated and chances of a higher pay is higher. You go for the big, hard stuff, you'll be respected and acknowledged.

The warriors of old that chose to fight the hardest battles ended up th greatest generals.

We all face hard times. Be it failures, problems and moments when things don’t go as planned, infact it looks like a freaking disaster.
These difficulties or trials may feel uncomfortable, but they help us learn important lessons. Lessons that make us masters of the game of life. A lot of virtue we need to thrive will mostly be taught to us not by words but by these kinds if experience.

The lesson of patience, strength and problem solving, adaptability, perseverance, all these are tools of a mighty warrior and they come through pain and suffering.

Without problems, we would stay the same. There wouldn't be the need for technology, for innovation and for seeking something better. With each challenge we manage to overcome, we become smarter and stronger.

When your life gets hard, the last thing you want to do is to give up. Be inspired by the thought that the hard times are shaping you to be a hero of your own life story.

Look at so many superheroes, they're born through pain. Superman had his planet blown up, Batman had his parents killed, Iron was kidnapped and nearly died, Captain America volunteered for an experiment that could have ended his life.

That's how heros are born, trials make us stronger.

That is a great proverb to remember, especially when one is being tested by tribulations, challenges, and such.
