Trump responds to Charlie Kirk tragedy, demonizing leads to violence
Just a few hours ago from the time of writing this article, on September 10, 2025, the United States was shaken by the tragic assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk, this was during a speaking event at Utah Valley University.
Charlie as you may already know, does a lot of live show events mostly on campus grounds, where he gives the chance for people to debate with him on matters with regards to policies, laws and in view of some, contradictory opinions on politics.

Yesterday in Utah when Kirk was asked about the number of mass shootings in America, he followed up with a question if that includes numbers from gang violence, and that's the moment everyone heard a gunshot.
This really is a devastating incident, and we had the President of the United States Donald Trump address the entire nation. He expressed his grief and anger to the incident and called out for a collective reckoning with the escalating political violence in the country.
- This was president Trump's exact words
It's long past time for all Americans and the media to confront the fact that violence and murder are the tragic consequences of demonizing those with whom you disagree.
He couldn't be anymore right about that statement. Going as far as to unalive someone is unnecessary.
There's currently a US manhunt under way to find the one responsible for what happened to Charlie Kirk
No matter how much you disagree with someone, violence to this degree is never an answer. President Trump began his address by acknowledging the profound loss of Charlie Kirk, and he described it as a dark moment for America.
Even if you hate the guy, his family and friends are in a mourning for losing someone. Imagine having to reverse the situation and it was you in his place, you obviously wouldn't celebrate now would you?
President Trump emphasized on just how much of a wonderful American Kirk was, a person that dedicated his life to promoting conservative values and engaging in civil discourse.
I have to say, I did get addicted to watching the debates and for so many of them, it was hard to argue with the opinions of Charlie Kirk, he was a smart man and made quite an impact.
The President ordered flags to be flown at half staff until Sunday in honor of Kirk's memory.
I for one wish it wouldn't turn out like this, but a bitter reality has hit the country.
President Trump condemned the assassination as a direct consequence of the current political climate of America. The statement he made about the link between violence and demonizing those with whom you disagree puts forth his belief that the rhetoric of political opponents has contributed heavily to an environment where such acts of violence are becoming more prevalent.
President Trump has vowed to hold those responsible for Kirk's death accountable, and on social media you can follow a live stream of a manhunt to find the one responsible.
Trump has promised that his administration would pursue justice for the victim. He described the perpetrator as a monster and pledged to take action against organizations that support or incite political violence.
President Trump didn't come on air to just assign blame, he also called for unity among Americans. This is one thing a nation cannot do without, unity. Any group or nation gets weak when they're divided no matter how rich or advanced they get.
Trump urged the American citizens to come together, regardless of political affiliation, to condemn acts of violence and work towards a more civil and respectful political discourse.
You're entitled to your opinions and there's right to speech, and debates, if you're going to start unaliving anyone you disagree with, what world would we be building for the next generation.
It's not like taking Kirk's life is going to make the nation any better, as a matter of fact it's creating fear and confusion.
It's obvious that there's true dangers of escalating political rhetoric, so it's more important now than ever for all people to endeavor to maintain civility in public discourse.
