Why Red Pandas stand up to scare predators

I watched a video where a red panda stood up on its back legs but I'm laughing but then I felt bad because they're almost menacing. They stood up like they were saying don't come near me. They reminded me of a toy someone would leave on a shelf and was trying to scare off predators.

The funny thing is it works, other animals will stop whatever they are doing if something is standing up. Maybe because size is a big deal in the animal world, more so the illusion of size. So red pandas for whatever reason have picked this up. That use it as a tactics to scare. They decide to stand up or spread out, hoping they can throw this predator off their game. If you didn't know this you would probably think it wants a hug.
If that move fails, they go up. The real goal is to get up into the trees and go up. With their long tails and special thumbs, they were obviously made to climb. They are not made to fight, they're made to leave and go somewhere where the threat can't get to them.
For the most part, red pandas live alone in their trees. They're very quiet animals, they don't group, make noise or announce their presence to anyone. They spend all their time eating bamboo in their trees that's it.
I actually do see a cleanness to that life. Not a romantic style of calmness but a clean life. They are not always as curious waiting to see how something will turn out. If something gets too close, go up. You already know how to hold on. Besides that, we all have to give it to the red Panda, they're the gods of cuteness.
