A huge Jhalmuri party at home yesterday 🌶️

Yesterday afternoon, the sky suddenly turned a little cloudy, and then I thought of making something delicious quickly. I thought, eating some very simple but interesting food at home is much more enjoyable than a grand event. So without delay, I started making Jhalmuri.

Jhalmuri is a very favorite dish of Bengalis. But its taste depends entirely on the ratio of spices and ingredients. I made a great masala for yesterday. It had a lot of mustard oil, ground cumin powder, dry chili powder, beet salt and common salt. The aroma that came out after rubbing the muri with this masala, made my stomach feel double.

Along with the muri, I used nuts fried in a spicy masala and some chopped green chilies, which added a different dimension to the crunchy taste of the muri. You can see in the picture how each grain of the muri is evenly mixed with spices and mustard oil and has taken on a golden appearance. And the small pieces of raw almonds and green chillies add to its beauty. This simple dish is a special treat to eat with the whole family. The smiling faces of everyone during the evening chat and the spicy taste of the jhalmuri made yesterday's day really special. We all finished a basket of muri in no time.
